There’s just one week to go until the first semi-final of Moldova’s national selection O melodie pentru Europa, but you don’t have to wait until then to support your favourites! You can listen to all of the songs below, listed in the running order drawn by the contestants two weeks ago. Then vote for your favourites in our poll. Voting closes on 24 February, when we will announce the poll results. Also, keep an eye out for our poll for the second semi-final. We’ll publish that on February 18.

[polldaddy poll=8659400]The two semi-finals will take place on 24 and 26 February, with the national final planned for 28 February. Seven songs from each semi-final will qualify to the final based on the combination of votes from the public televote and votes from the jury. An 8th qualifier will be selected by an additional televote between the remaining non-qualifiers and will be revealed during a semi-final after-show.
Although there are a few good songs, everyone seems to forget that the Eurovision theme of this year is “Building Bridges”. Most of the 24 songs competing, even if they are nice, are not in tune with the theme, both lyrically and musically. I think that when we choose a favorite song we should keep that in mind and judge the song in the whole. Moldova needs to stand out this year, there are already great songs been chosen by other countries to represent them. For me, Kitty even manages to beat all the Moldovan artists, she’s my favourite. I just doubt that Moldovans will choose her just because she’s not Moldovan.

Don’t really like any of these songs, especially Kitty’s. The second semi-final seems way stronger.
If I had to pick my qualifiers they’d be:
-Eduard Romanyuta with “I Want Your Love”
-Glam Girls with “Magia”
-SunStroke Project & Michael Ra with “Day By Day”
-Irina Kitoroag? with “I’m Gonna Get You” (it’s horrible in a hilarious and entertaining way)
-Ani?oara Volînschi with “Vocea inimii”
-Domenico Protino with “Let Me Fly”
If SunStroke Project includes Epic Sax Guy, then there is no other option
May I petition to rename this poll “Who do you want to watch lose to Miss M in the final?”
Sunstroke Project is the best choice, their song hooked me from the first time I listened to it (besides, who doesn’t want to see Epic Sax Guy on the Eurovision stage again?). Kitty is a waste of space in this semifinal and I have no idea why they picked her to move on
