After popping their Grand Final cherry last year, Montenegro are going all out  for Eurovision 2015. First they selected veteran singer Knez to perform their entry, and now they’ve drafted in the king the of Balkan ballads to help. Earlier today, RTC announced that Zeljko Joksimovic will compose the Montenegrin Eurovision song for Vienna.

Knez revealed that the song will be somewhat faster and happier than what he’s used to and admitted that it will take a lot of hard work to complete it on time. Zeljko also acknowledged the challenge, but said that he couldn’t refuse the offer.

Zeljko has a strong pedigree when it comes to Eurovision success. In the past he has composed four entries, all of which have finished  inside the top ten – “Lane moje” for Serbia and Montenegro in 2004, “Lejla” for Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2006, “Oro” for Serbia in 2008 and “Nije ljubav stvar” in for Serbia in 2012. However, a Zeljko penned song has never won the contest. Could this be all about to change? Let us know below.

This is great news! You know Zeljko puts a lot of hard work into making his beautiful songs, so I cannot wait to hear it!

This is some of the best news so far in 2015. Zeljko is an incredibly gifted composer.

But Knez for me don t have strong vocals like Zeljko, Hari, Jelena who sing previous Joksimovic songs at Eurovision.

“They have one whole month to do this song. Question – what have they been doing previous months since Knez was presented as their representative? Swimming the Adriatic Sea?”

Lol 😀

Zeljko is NOT the new Johnny Logan, you know why, cause Zeljko doesn’t have 2 victories under his belt.

Anywho,

So this is what we can expect now from Knez, him standing/slowly walking during his performance, a girl on a violin, guy with a fiddle or small guitar instrument, another guy holding small drums and another girl for backing vocals.

That has been the case for Zeljko’s performance in 2004 and 2012 and for his production for Bosnia & Herzegovina and I believe for Serbia’s Oro on the year they hosted.

Guys,Dino Merlin came 6th in the final with Love In Rewind so your statement about old singers at eurovision isn’t valid.

This is a really good sign. I’ve loved all of Zeljko’s ESC songs. “Oro” was even my winner in 2008.

This is really great news! <3 Couldn't get any better than this when you have the Boss Zeljiko composing the song..! <3 He is like the new Johnny Logan..! <3 🙂 Serbia + Montenegro dubuted both as awhole one country back in 2004 that the night of the final was on my birthday! <3 There were strong rumours about Zeljiko's sexuality and that he must be either bisexual or just gay homosexual and i really think that he is truly! <3 This wonderful charming man could not be straight… 😛 😉 I suspect that Knez is NOT straight either.. 🙂… Read more »

Old and ugly singer, but if song will be good, Montenegro will have a chance for good result, because most of rivals will be very poor.
