Conchita Wurst, possibly the most important winner of Eurovision this century, has failed to meet many fans’ expectations since her win. Her two post-Eurovision singles, “My Lights” and “Heroes“, have met with mixed reviews, having both pleased and disappointed fans and critics alike. Recently, Conchita seems to have taken more of a liking to the catwalk and the red carpet than the recording studio, but she has a chance to renew our post-Eurovision hopes for her with her newest single, “You Are Unstoppable”. The song was released on radios, however it won’t be released on iTunes until March 5. Did we take to the message? Or is Conchita’s music career a lost cause?

This might be your worst effort yet! “You Are Unstoppable” is supposed to be the reinforcer to your victory and your platform, the reminder of why Austria received so many votes last year. Maybe we should have given post-production the honor instead – it seems like they are doing 80% of the work this time around and all you contribute are lazy and half-effort vocals. On top of that, it sounds like you wrote the lyrics in a rush, maybe before hopping into your gown for the Golden Globes, and didn’t even care to make it any more of a masterpiece than it already wasn’t.

Sopon, to put someone down is way too cold. Ms. Conchita Wurst’s “You Are Unstoppable” is simply beautiful and thoughtful if you know how to read the “feel” of the song. Obviously you just simply read the song as broken sentences. And if the way she sings is only lazy and half-effort vocals like you said, OMGoodness, ALL unstoppables are in for a wonderful, wonderful delight!!!
In my opinion, Conchita has a large potential for musical career, but she has no an adequate managment. This is a unique artist with an unusual voice, when she can charm the performance, just standing on stage and sing without using any maneuvers to enhance the effect! But she is also good on the catwalks and red carpets. New song a light, dynamic, affordable and has all chances to become a hit.

In the first part complaining about post-victory singles „My lights and „Heroes“ and then asking if she can do it better with her new single. Me. I like this new uptempo-number as much as “Heroes”! The lyrics are full of positive words and the music-arrangement sprays of optimism. Yes, she forces her messege of winning with it just before new eurovision and that’s real great! This was the reason why so many people started loving her and now they will become much more! I agree in that there is a lot more production on this track, but overall I like it. It’s not a show stopper, but it’s enjoyable! I’ve also enjoyed Conchita’s other songs. The fact that she is still so active after winning is nice. In recent years it seems most winners have disappeared. Loreen’s only released a couple songs, I’m not sure if she ever did an album. Emmelie has done a little more, and her new songs great. But it seems Alexander and Conchita are the most active ones, constantly working on something.

I do love the unique voice of Conchita since recognizing her at ESC2014. She´s an unbelievably great live singer and no one other has the ability of transporting emotions in that extent as she´s able to do. „Heroes“ is a masterpiece and has a very impressing music video. I liked “Heroes” when it was first released, but the more I hear it, the more I begin to dislike it. I didn’t even know she had released a song called “My Lights” until now, and I don’t really plan on listening to it any time soon. And this song… well, it certainly isn’t anything like “Rise Like A Phoenix”, to say the least. It doesn’t sound original at all, and the verses sound very disorganised in the way they’ve been written. Didn’t even know she had a song titled My Lights. Frankly surprised about the criticism towards her, music-wise. She has performed many times though, so it’s not like she somewhat ditched it in order to be on the red carpet.
