Things may not have gone according to plan for Cascada when they represented Germany at Eurovision 2013, but that hasn’t stopped the trio of Manuel Reuter (DJ Manian), Yann Peifer (Yanou) and lead vocalist Natalie Horler from doing what they do best – releasing killer dance tracks!
Cascada – “Reason” Official Video
Produced by Lina Schütze with a video filmed on the sunny Spanish island of Mallorca, Cascada’s latest single “Reason” has got us all seeing red. And we mean literally, the video is shot almost completely in a red filter. But Natalie still looks as gorgeous as ever, especially with her dazzling blue eyes. “Reason” evokes memories of the old school Cascada that will be familiar to die-hard fans, and combines with electronic trance to breathtaking effect. We may be edging towards the end of February, but Cascada have started 2015 with a bang, y’all!
“Diamond”
“Reason” may be the the trio’s first release of 2015, but they actually started working on the single way back in 2004. Then it was released as a side project called “Diamond”, which you can hear below. This wasn’t originally intended as a Cascada single, as those were the early days when the group were almost known as Cascade. An artist with a similar name, DJ Kaskade, threatened to take legal action, and so the Eurodance group we know today was born.
Original “Diamond” 2004 Single Release
Eleven years later, Cascada rediscovered the side project and loved it. They dragged it out of the archives and decided to give it a new lease of life by re-recording it. “Reason” has well and truly risen like a phoenix from the ashes of “Diamond”.
The single is currently available to purchase on iTunes. For those in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, click here. Everyone else can click here.

Great to hear that they’re still active. Hope they continue to release more new music in 2015!
I LOVE it. It’s better than the stuff they released after Eurovision.
I like this song 1st version. It wasn’t dance track but more like ballad. This version is not bad too.
