Did y’all think there was time to rest? Not yet Europe, because tonight four – yes, four – countries will be making their decisions on who to send to Europe. By the end of the night, we’ll have our acts from Hungary, Finland, Moldova and Slovenia…oh, and the little matter of Melodifestivalen too. You can keep up with all of the nights event here on wiwibloggs (as well as via our Twitter @wiwibloggs and Instagram wiwibloggs). Here’s a quick run down of what’s happening, when it’s on and how to watch.

National Selection Schedule: 28 February 2015

HUNGARY: A DAL FINAL

DAL_2014_LOGO_RGB

A Dal is looking very much to be dominated by the ladies this year, as all the talk seems to be focusing on the likes of Iv, Boggie and Kati Wolf. Hungary seems to be constantly building on their success lately, and with Kallay Saunders placing in the top five, could this be the year that they finally pick up the victory? See what our Wiwi Jury have been saying about the acts beforehand and if we think there’s a winner in the group!

FINLAND: UUDEN MUSIIKIN KILPAILU FINAL

Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu UMK 2015 Juries Finland Eurovision 2015

Finland have most certainly thrown us a few unexpected results on the route to the UMK final. With fan favourites like Siru and Ida Bois eliminated in the semi-finals, it now seems to be a straight fight between disabled punk rockers Perrti Kurikan Nimipaivat and boyband Satin Circus. Could the juries overthrow the wealth of public support that PKN have amassed – or could Finland surprise us again and send an outsider like Shava or Opera Skaala to Vienna? This one is surely a must watch.

Live stream: here.

MOLDOVA: O MELODIE PENTRU EUROPA FINAL

O melodie pentru Europa Moldova 2015

It’s all been a bit of a whirlwind in Moldova. After a quick burst of open auditions, Moldova have now raced through two semi finals and landed us with a sixteen act final. There’s controversy brewing about one act’s song, whilst SunStroke Project seem to be your favourites as it stands in our poll. Watch live from 18:45 CET

SLOVENIA: EMA 2015 FINAL

ema 2015 slovenia finalists

Can Slovenia build on the success of getting Tinkara Kovac to the final? They’ll certainly be hoping so with some of the acts lined up for EMA 2015. RTVSLO has been rather persistent in keeping the songs mostly off the radar, but the hot favourites have to be Maraaya, the husband and wife duo behind Tinkara’s “Spet” as well as Ula Lozar’s “Nisi Sam“. Also in the final is former Slovenian representative (and multi-time ESC backing singer) Martina Majerle. Watch EMA live from 20:00 CET.

SWEDEN: MELODIFESTIVALEN SEMI-FINAL FOUR

melodifestivalen-generic-logo1

It’s odd to think that Melodifestivalen might be a bit of an after-thought this week with so much going on! There’s good reason to watch though, particularly with some Australian representation already (boyband JTR) and the not-so-small matter of Mans Zelmerlow being involved this week. Mans is the hot favourite to go direkt til final, but who will join him is another thing altogether…

I’ve fixed the link for tonight’s Melodifestivalen YoungsterJoey. SVT usually put the actual link at around 19:00 CET (18:00 GMT), an hour before the show starts.

Swede link not working but I think that’s SVT’s responsibility/fault.

Meanwhile have you folks heard Mans’ song? Theres a 2:30 length audio on the SVT site, sounds very weird/unique in the beginning. Interesting how that’s going to play live today.

I’m too scared of Finland choosing poorly to be watching UMK. I guess MelFest is a safe and pleasant bet.

Dream result:
PASSED, Miss M or Lidia Isac (really anything except the awful Maricica song,) Järjestyshäiriö/Opera Skaala/Solju/anyone but Satin Circus or PNK, Maraaya, Caroline Wennergren and Mans Zelmerlow to the final with Midnight Boy to Andra Chansen

I’m expecting Boggie or yet another screeching solo female artist ie Ív (although I love Ív’s song,) the awful Maricica

Hungary 1) Kati Wolf – Ne engedj el 2) Ív – Fire 3) Passed – Mesmerize 4) Boggie – Wars for Nothing 5) Spoon – Keep Marching On 6) Zoltán Mujahid – Beside You 7) Ádám Szabó – Give Me Your Love 8) Bálint Gájer – That’s How It Goes Finland: I only care about Järjestyshäiriö. Moldova: Haven’t paid much attention but my favourites are DoReDos and Miss M. Eduard wouldn’t be a horrible choice if he manages to have a better live performance if he wins. I would rather the winner be Moldovan though. Slovenia: 1) Maraaya – Here… Read more »

This is what I want to happen:
Finland: Satin Circus
Hungary: Kati/Adam
Slovenia: Maraaya
Moldova: None haha

What I predict:
Finland: Opera Skaala/The shitty punkband
Hungary: Boggie
Slovenia: Hard to tell, I say Maraaya
Moldova: Miss M/Dorritos or whatever they’re called

To shortly summarize this:
Maraaya is the one I mostly want in Vienna, and Moldovas selection sucks. Really.

I’m gonna watch Finland and Hungay. So long as Kati or Ív wins in Hungary, im happy. But I want Opera Skaala to win in Finland.

I can’t wait for UMK. Hopefully they will pick an act that will look good with only 6 people on stage (no matter how much I like Shava’s performance with 12-13 people and the bus). So probs Opera Skaala or Solju?

I’ll be watching Finland or Hungary. However, Maraaya MUST win in Slovenia.
