After a long wait and an epic hype, “Amanecer” has finally arrived. The Spanish Broadcaster has today published on its webpage the full song that Edurne will sing at Eurovision 2015 in Vienna.
The Spanish entry is already available for pre-order on iTunes and will be on sale on all music platforms from tomorrow. We still have to wait for the official video which will see Edurne dressed as a Helenic Warrior. That will be released on March 9.
Listen to Edurne’s “Amanecer” on this link.
If it doesn’t play on your computer, try on your mobile!
TVE seems to be really confident with the choice: they just keep on feeding the hype! The Spanish broadcaster is now encouraging all followers to record and share their reaction to the first listen using the hasthagh #miprimeramanecer. (That translates as “myfirstawakening”).
¿Y si el domingo nos mandáis vuestras reacciones cuando escuchéis la canción? http://t.co/kRrNV0MGYe Hacedlo con el HT #MiPrimerAmanecer

ok, i hated it on first listen, but now i completely love love LOVE it, i think its perfect. I think i disliked it because of some of her other songs being so cool like Painkiller, but actually this is so classy and incredible. Its not my fave announced but its in my top 5, which has never happened for me, i usually detest spanish songs (except Baila El Chiki Chiki of course…AHEM.) Top 5: 1. Estonia 2. Iceland 3. Spain 4.Latvia (<—-another surprise country, eh?) 5. WAS Albania, but now will say Lithuania. My usual least fave countries are… Read more »
I think what this song needs is some backing vocals to harmonise and add power in the last half of the song. I fear it is a little repetitive otherwise. I love love love this entry but there is a little something missing.
Assassin’s Creed comes to my mind while listening to this song. The clothing that she wears on her song’s art cover even comes with a hood.
Spain is actually my top 3 ,i love th song , many people put it in the top 5 in the final , but not winner , mmm , i smell spanish victory maybe?????ca be a good moment for it , good luck Spain, 12 points
One of the rate songs I actually give me chance, since most songs I say I might like after a few listens I never actually sit down and listen to them…… BUT, yes I did it for Spain this year and I have to say it worked, love the beat, love the emotion and adore the way this song makes me discover something new in it every time I listen to it.

With brilliant staging I can see this placing in Top 5!
Edurne’s entry is one of the last mediocre songs for this ESC (the only exceptions: Slovenia, Malta and Estonia). Starting this week and on, the best entries are about to come!
great video! http://youtu.be/DRoE1tKKD6Y
You should listen Amanecer with higher quality at this link… Amazing!

No catchy refrain? Just another ballad from Spain. top 15 – 20 in my personal top This week:
1) Estonia
2) Malta
3) Slovenia
4) Italy
5) Switzerland
Interesting song. Was expecting something slightly more, it was as if the song kept building and building to a point but after 2 listens, I do like the song as it is.
I do hope Spain gets to perform in the 2nd half again (then again, I want most of my favorites to do so lol)
Fantastic song, well done, Edurne. She’s giving us something to be proud of. And if you compare to last year’s (annoying) song, this is just marvelous and a possible winner. Enhorabuena, Edurne. Go, girl!
This song is so great. It’s in my Top 3 for sure! The first time I listened to it, it was OK, but after a few more times I think it’s fantastic! I can’t wait for seeing the performance in direct and the staging. Hope she wins (having seen the songs so far)! Congrats Spain. 9’5/10, nothing is absolutely perfect ;D
I invite you to checking how Edurne sings live:
In ”Your Face Sounds Familiar”:
Like Beyoncé: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTd681k8OCg
Like Christina Aguilera: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiqcu-Q38ZY
Or like P!nk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElacVqbiQgw
I think she sings VERY well and Amanecer is a potential winning song for this ESC. We are waiting for the Contest returns to Spain… after so many disappointments. Maybe this year? I believe it!! Go Edurne 😉
Right now as it is, this is a top 5. When they add the staging this will be fighting for the victory. Mark my words
I was a bit underwhelmed after the first listen, but it’s definitely a grower. What I don’t like much is the lyrics, they sound a bit nonesensical to me, but if a song in Spanish can win in this day and age, it’s this one.
Bien hecho España.
I really like it, but she better be able to sing this live, otherwise it could be a disaster.
1. Italy
2. Spain
3. Netherlands
4. Iceland
5. Slovenia
6. Denmark
7. Hungary
8. Ireland
9. Moldova
10. Lithuania
My TOP so far: 1. LATVIA – I’m in love with this song. First time I like latvian entry 10/10 2. ESTONIA – I’m getting a bit tired of it. 9/10 3. SLOVENIA – it actually sounds like some brittish singer song (like Ella Eyre) 8/10 4. Iceland – didn’t like it at first, but it’s like dark horse in competition 6/10 5. Lithuania – not really my style, but better than other songs 6/10 6. Spain – have listened to it few times and I think it could grow on me 6/10 7. Denmark – didn’t like it at… Read more »
Wow this is really good. I was expecting some terrible dance-pop song à la “Sunshine” in Greece’s NF but this is more like a more lively “Quédate conmigo”. If her voice is strong enough to carry the song live I can see Spain challenging for a win.
Well, i think I expected more…but I like it! Different style of music…but good!!
If I were to write a Eurovision entry, it might sound like this. The only part that bothers me is the appearance of sudden high “happy” notes in the chorus when she sings “Mi corazón, me susurró”. But I can get past that. This entry is astounding. If this all comes together live, it’ll be HUGE in Vienna.
This and Latvia are my favorites so far. The middle part when the orchestra fills in is just perfect.
This is top 10 worthy … Tho I do not see a winner, but with the right staging it might even pull off a top 5 finish !!! Good Luck Spain
Swedish composers rule. The middle of the song is just perfect. Even though I have some doubts about the refrain and too much showing off with the voice, it is a great proposition, powerful and for sure much better than “Undo” 2014. Spain wants to win this year. There will be a huge competition among the ballads: France, Spain, Italy, Malta. Yet, my personal favourite is still France.
Sounds great, but need to see it performed live before I can be entirely sure….right now, definitely in my top 5! RTVE needs to get her performing this live asap!
A boring song for me, I expected a lot more.Goodbye to yesterday for the win by the moment,in my opinion.
meh
I like it and it should be able to make the top 10 in my opinion especially if the staging and live is good.
This song is pretty good, but I’m waiting to see the live staging because I’m expecting something BIG!
My very first reaction was “This is… ok” but after a few listens I’m liking it more and more, so it’s a grower, I think it will end up high on my list. Still not sure if this will fight for the top spot, it’s quite good but it lacks… something, and I can’t pinpoint exactly what, however as others have said already, this has great potential for an amazing staging, which could help the song get more impact, let’s just hope they don’t go for another Emma Marrone… I think it might get overshadowed by Italy though, both having… Read more »
I really think that the stage performance will be really cool! Spain deserves Top 5 at once!
Well done Spain. In a weak year this will do well. Sounds like a cross between Rise Like a Phoenix and Only Teardrops which makes it feel less original. The only minuses is this contest is filled with lots of similar songs. This falls into the bucket of “powerful women singing anthemic empowerment ballads”. The other bucket is “duets singing pleasant songwriter songs”. Seems like the most popular entries either were inspired by Conchita or The Common Linnets. I have to imagine this year’s winner will have to be something that feels super original and different from all other entries… Read more »
haha nice video wiwibloggs

I WANT A LIVE PREFORMANCE !!!!
and i want it NOW !!!!
I like it but i was waiting for another style, rock or similar XD
“….give me back my soul, give me back my dawn…”
IEEE IEEE
“I don’t quit”
OMG that imitation of Beyonce was FLAWLESS, she has amazing vocals, She surely will do incredible inn Vienna
Umm no.
She is amazing, she can dance, she can sing… INCREDIBLE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTd681k8OCg&spfreload=10
Let’s remember that Dancing in the rain recived so much more hate at first than Amanecer is reciving. We shouldn’t be anticipating what’s going to happen in Viena until April or so.
For me this song is worse than “Dancing In The Rain” but also staging is very important part of performance at Eurovision Song Contest.
I really like it 😀 Amazing 😀
It sounds like Shakira, but less energetic.
