Fahrenhaidt, the new-age duo competing in Germany’s Unser Song für Österreich, have emerged as fan favourites. They are wowing fans at rehearsals and are currently dominating our fan poll with their songs “Frozen Silence” and “Mother Earth”, both of which are voiced by Danish artist Amanda Pederson.
wiwibloggers Patrick (Austria) and William (United Kingdom) recently caught up with Erik Macholl, one of the two songwriters behind the group. He tells us about discovering Amanda on Facebook, his love of new age music, and which of his two competing songs he prefers. He also tells us that despite working with Emmelie de Forest on the song “Wildfire”, he did not ask her to voice either of these songs. You can find out why below.

“Frozen Silence” would be a 12/10 from me and my third-favourite Eurovision song ever (fourth if “Human Beings” wins in Norway).

Just watched the rehearsals for UFSO, and Fahrenhaidt looked and sounded amazing! Their my choice for Germany, and would certainly stand out with there “new age” genre! 🙂
Both of their songs are from my 4 most favorites 4 the record.. Along with *Shine Shine Shine* of Mrs. GreenBird & *Hörst du die Trommeln* of Faun..
