On Tuesday, Leonor, Yola and Gonçalo secured their places in the final of Portugal’s national selection (if you missed it: you can watch the full show again here). And we must say: we kind of placed our bets on Yola and Leonor as well. Good job, Portugal! This evening it’s time for the second semifinal of Festival da Canção 2015. Who will be (or should be) the last three qualifiers? Watch live from 22:20 CET.
And one of Portugal’s biggest Eurovision superstars will be present – Simone de Oliveira tries her luck once more, after representing Portugal in 1965 and 1969. Will she be rusty after all those years away?
Participating in this semifinal
1 Rubi Machado – “Quando a lua voltar a passar”
2 José Freitas – “Mal menor (Ninguém me guia à razão)”
3 Teresa Radamanto – “Um fado em Viena”
4 Simone de Oliveira – “À espera das canções”
5 Filipe Gonçalves -“Dança Joana”
6 Diana Piedade -“Maldito tempo”
Leonor Andrade – Há um mar que nos separa (by televote)
Yola Dinis – Outra vez primavera (by televote)
Gonçalo Tavares – Tu tens uma mágica (by jury vote)
The last three finalists will be determined tonight: two will be chosen by public televote. The third qualifier will be saved by the composer-jury. Unlike the first semi, there are no singers competing tonight with self-composed songs.
How to watch
The broadcast begins at 22:20 CET and can be watched on this livestream (RTP1). And, in case of emergency, also on RTP África and RTP Internacional. These, however, are on delay. Silvia Alberto and José Carlos Malate will present the show, which is expected to end at 23:30 CET.
On RTP Play the commentators will be Bruno Correia and Axel, who participated in Festival da Canção 2011.
Stay tuned: the final of Festival da Canção 2015 will be held on Saturday March 7.
