The semifinals are now over in Portugal and we have six qualifiers that will battle in the final of Festival da Canção 2015 on March 7. Teresa Radamanto and Simone de Oliveira emerged as the televoters’ favourites this evening, while José Freitas earned the highest marks from the jury.

Portuguese superstar Simona de Oliveira showed that she still has what it takes and received a standing ovation from the audience in the studio after her perfomance left the audience silent. The six artists also took us on a trip down memory lane when they sang a medley of past ESC songs. We heard rather nice versions of ‘Waterloo’, ‘J’aime la vie’, ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Hold me now’.

Simone to the Eurovision!!!!. Follow the campaign under #SimoneaEurovisao. This is a punch in the stomach to all the ready-made factory-like music we hear today in ESC, even if Portugal comes last. It will do so with pride and dignity!

Yola is the only chance for Portugal in the final. Everything else falls flat in the water.

Yola Dinis should win, she would be the only good choice for Portugal really. The rest would be totally without hope of qualifying for the final in Vienna.
