Amber, Malta’s Eurovision 2015 starlet, will release the re-mastered version of ‘Warrior‘ on Monday March 9. And there’s a bonus: she’s releasing the glossy music video at the same time. Malta’s Public Broadcasting Services will launch the video at 16:00 CET at Creativity Hub in Gwardamangia, Malta. Slay!
The video stays faithful to the lyrics and interprets the song’s central theme of turning a negative situation around. Amber lives her memories, which aren’t always pleasant, but ultimately triumphs over her past. Her team filmed the video itself with a lot of special rigging effects which had to be done correctly the first time. The stakes were high, but Amber has DELIVERED.
Speaking to tvm.com.mt, Amber described the shooting experience as unforgettable. Always modest, she also said that the star of the music video is the song itself. The will and the strength of the ‘Warrior’ living inside Amber helps her overcome the mystery and the darkness of the environment.
Speaking to wiwibloggs, Matt Muxu Mercieca, the song’s lyricist and the brains behind Malta’s recent successes at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, was over-the-moon. “I am super excited for everyone to hear the new and improved version of Warrior,” he says. “The video is beautiful and I am so excited for everyone to watch and hear it!”
Meanwhile, PBS has launched a teaser of the video which shows Amber towards the end of the song in this mysterious and dark environment.

The very few seconds we can listen in the preview show a very much stronger voice and style, I’m liking what I hear! I’m expecting a whole revamp, very ala “Tick Tock” 😉 you wanted to select your song early in the game Malta, to have time to improve it, time to prove you took the right decision!

WoW this is exciting! I hope the song is re-mastered the RIGHT way cause it needs to evoke some kind of emotion to the listener. The potential in both the song and singer is there for everyone to see but it needs justice. It’s either make or break Good Luck Malta!

The song is middle of the road to me, they have sent better and they definitely have sent worse….. My concern is Amber herself, I find her to be very forgettable and tho a cute girl…. Nothing really stands out about her, she has a decent voice, decent looks, decent songs and we all now decent almost never makes you grab your phone and actually vote for it.
I hope the revamped version has a whole new sound. The original is such a generic ESC song.
As Malta’s currently 19th on my rankings with a 3/10, I’m hoping the revamped version will make it move up. Although the teaser doesn’t show much it still seems very different and improved.
