SVT has just released the running order for the final of Melodifestivalen 2015.

Where is everyone performing in the running order?

The acts have been evenly spread out across the competition, balancing favourites and not-so-favourites. The Andra Chansen qualifiers have taken 1, 3, 7 and 12 for their spots in the running order. The rest of the running order spots have been spread out between the 8 winners of the heats.

1. Samir & Viktor – “Groupie”
2. JTR – “Building It Up”
3. Dinah Nah – “Make Me (La La La)”
4. Jon Henrik Fjällgren – “Jag är fri (Manne leam frijje)”
5. Jessica Andersson – “Can’t Hurt Me Now”
6. Måns Zelmerlöw – “Heroes”
7. Linus Svenning – “Forever Starts Today”
8. Isa – “Don’t Stop”
9. Magnus Carlsson – “Möt mig i Gamla stan”
10. Eric Saade – “Sting”
11. Mariette – “Don’t Stop Believing”
12. Hasse Andersson – “Guld och gröna skogar”

Who are the winners?

From previous experience the later you perform the better. The last five winners of Melodifestivalen (Sanna Nielsen, Robin Stjernberg, Loreen, Eric Saade and Anna Bergendahl all performed in spots 6-10, and other than Loreen all performed in 8-10).

Eric will be performing in the exact same spot he performed in during the 2011 final of Melodifestivalen. Mariette’s ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ should contrast strongly from ‘Sting’ giving her a possible advantage too.

Måns Zelmerlöw the current favourite has been given the spot that saw Loreen win big time with ‘Euphoria’ in 2012. Following Jessica Andersson’s ballad and being succeeded by Linus in the running order gives ‘Heroes’ two contrasting tempos that should show it off to the best extent possible.

The big losers in the running order?

Samir & Viktor, JTR and Dinah Nah will be opening the show with a bang but are likely being sacrificed by SVT in the interest of spectacle.

Curiously Jon Henrik too seems to have been put out to pasture, despite strong fan support and enthusiasm for his entry.

What do you think about the running order? Who will win Melodifestivalen 2015?

Yesterday I saw two entries from the Melodifestivalen 2015 line-up for the very first time: Måns Zelmerlöw and Jon Henrik Fjällgren. I haven’t seen any other finalist so far. My comments: Måns Zelmerlöw: Wow, this act is so difficult to catch on camera. But it’s slick and it absolutely works. It’s a real stunner visually, and it adds to the happy, anthemic mood of the song. I saw this first, and was convinced this could win the whole damn thing in Vienna….if it wins. Jon Henrik Fjällgren: And then I saw this very cute sincere Sami-guy with Colombian roots. His… Read more »

Hope for Dinah Nah! This song is so amazing and modern! The staging is amazing too! I’m really addicted to it like Ace Wilders ‘Busy doin’ nothin” last year! But I think Sweden don’t choose Dinah Nah because Sweden will choose another boring ballad, Eric or Samir&Victor :/

Don’t forget about that the Andra chansen took place in Helsingborg, not far from Hasse Andersson’s home village Kvinnaböske. Probably why the crowd were so excited… But anyways I think and hope ol’ Hasse will do well 🙂

Eugene ESC UK

I don t think that song in swedish wili win at Melodifestivalen with 100 % international 11 juries . We saw that song in swedish language from 2010 in final , didn t get many points from international juries. That wili be disadvantage both for Jon , Hasse and Magnus.

The winner Sertab Erener with the smash mega hit *Every Way That I Can* that it was the absolute conqueror and ruled the summer of 2003 in whole Europe
appeared in Latvia’s Vision on the lucky spot no #4 and surely paid off 4 Turkey as it seems.. 🙂
The #4 slot has never won in Melodifestivalen at least in the years after the New Millenium & the recent era of MelodiFestivalen..

4 entries from top 5 in televoting last year (Austria, Armenia, Sweden and Poland) were presented in the first half.

Conchita Wurst and Sanna Nielsen were in the first half of ESC 2014s final and werein the top 3. I don’t think running order changes a lot TBH.

edit – * all the time (without the 2nd word ‘time’..)
{my mind was away 4 seconds so i must wrote it twice and did not notice at all about the typo..}

4 the victory in 6 days i’m watching out especially 4 numbers slots..
4 / 6 / 10 / 11
These are the real hot favorites to win and we will see if it will be indeed the case..
I’m not saying that all the other numbers can’t win though of course…Especially certain ones…I can’t leave out of the race 4 the no1 any act..

4 me it doesn’t matter…If a song is truly winning one will find its way 4 the victory in whatever place it appears on.. In 2005 *Las Vegas* opened the final appearing very 1st but won the whole Melodifestivalen and went to Vision…It doesn’t matter that it was 2nd in televoting…The same had happened with *You* in 2013 that was even a wild card from andra chansen coming 2nd on televoting & with Charlotte’s *Hero* in 2008 being 2nd by televoters… In 2009 Malena with *La Voix* was voted 8th(!!) in juries but she won the televoting and managed to… Read more »

Mariette is the only winner for me
Måns and Eric are of course in the running but I think Måns hasn’t been given the upper hand by SVT and nobody’s buzzing about Eric

As far as I’m concerned, this will be a close battle between Mans, Jon, Eric and Mariette, but watch out for uncle Hasse! 🙂 Be interesting to see how the international juries rate these songs! I know the Swedish public has a sentimental favourites with Jon and Hasse!

I hope Eric or Mariette can pull through! Would love Linus or Isa to pull off a surprise too, they’re not in a bad position in the order.

It will be Mariette vs. Eric vs. Måns, if you ask me 😛
I also think Mariette will win the jury voting and Eric the televoting. Måns coming close to both. So I don’t really know about the winner.

I say this.. if you can not even win melodifestivalen based on your starting spot number.. you have nothing to do at eurovision….. a good song wins anyways.

Honestly, it is the final.. only 12 songs… which almost everyone have heard atleast ones before. I feel like the draw has very little importance… by that I mean,,, if Måns is the viewers favourite he will win …. etc etc…

But one could claim that Björkman wanted to spice up the final by not giving the best spots to the pre-final favourites.

I would love to see Mariette win this but I noticed that every year since 2010, they alternate genders (2010-Anna, 2011-Eric, 2012-Loreen, 2013-Robin, 2014-Sanna). So if this pattern continues, than it looks good for Eric or Mans. Pity that JHF is performing early. Another interesting facts about the running order: Eric also performed 10th in 2010 with Manboy and finished 3rd. Mans performed 6th in 2007 with Cara Mia and finished 3rd. With the exception of last year, those who performed 1st placed within the top 5 since 2005, including 2 victories (2005, 2008). Plus those who performed last also… Read more »

I think it will either be Mans or Eric, although Jon shouldn’t be counted out. And just maybe Marriette too.

Heroes is a blatant copy of Lovers on the Sun, same melody, same everything, it is not even slightly subtle.

Jon Henrik, Mariette, Linus or Eric for me.

If Eric wins I’ll shoot myself.

Mariette has to win now. I think Måns will get a little lost in 6th, particularly with more acts in the final this year.
