Swiss representative Mélanie René has released the music video for her song “Time to Shine”. The video is also the first appearance of the final mix of the song and with it comes the good news – the annoying guitar solo has gone!
A month ago Mélanie performed a new version of the song on Swiss television, with punchier production and way more attitude. But the dated guitar solo from the original was still there. But not for long – the final version has minimised the guitar solo and turned it into background music while Mélanie warbles over the top. A vast improvement.
The video itself finds Mélanie in a Swiss forest, dressed like a mysterious creature of the woods, wandering through the wilderness. Watch out for those low-hanging branches, Mél! We also see her looking more glammed up, so we can’t help wonder if she’ll be using one of these looks on stage in Vienna.
She is such an amateur, I can hardly stand it.
Nice atmospheric song with clear and moody vocals – still one of my tops this time. And you guys who comment based on appearance are the ugly ones.. its a song contest people not a pageant.
