With all 40 acts for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 now revealed, the odds for Semi-Final 2 have been released and opened. This competition is going to be tight, and it’s unclear who our ten qualifiers will be. That said, some clear favourites have emerged…
Mäns Zelmerlöw debuts with strong lead, followed by Maraaya

Sweden’s Mäns Zelmerlöw leads with 2/11 and Slovenia’s Maraaya follows on 1/4.
Montenegro‘s Knez, Azerbaijan’s Elnur Hüseynov and San Marino‘s Michele Perniola & Anita Simoncini stay close behind tied on 4/9.
After the Top 5, though, Semi-Final 2 appears to be anyone’s game. The remaining 12 acts are all starting at 20/21.
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal and Switzerland are all rated equally with one another to take the remaining five spots from Semi-Final 2.
The close spread of odds reflects speculation that Semi-Final 2 is the easier of the two Semi-Finals to advance from this year. Anyone could make it to the Grand Final in Vienna on Saturday 23rd May.

Its still open, but i got the feeling if Italy/Norway/Estonia gives a perfect performance they’ll win. Sweden will come up with the same staging as in melodifestivalen… like previous year

@JayKay these likes/dislikes thing doesn’t mean anything. The number of views is different for each song so you can’t makes chart of likes/dislikes. Last time I checked official Eurovision Song Contest youtube channel Azerbaijan had more than 500K views, Latvia had about 40K views so how can you compare it? But the statistic would be good if you ‘d calculate how many views per like/dislike.
Let Sweden win the whole thing, who cares…
Sweden will win this hands down will have competition from Norway and Slovenia great to Slovenia with there best shot at victory ever!! I think the winner overall will come from this semi. With Sweden Norway Slovenia fighting it out with Italy for the victory. Goteborg or Stockholm 2016 sounds more likely.

Marcus (Day One). Du kan inte jämföra Loreen med Måns. Loreen var med 2012, Måns 2015. Only teardrops var för mig ett under att den vann. Den låten var väldigt Irlänsk 80 tal. Norge har en låt som inte sticker ut alls, ballad i en duett. Som så många andra länder har. Slovenien CHOCKAD att den har blivit favorit. Ser så töntigt ut med hörlurarna

I don’t understand why Norway’s odds are equal to the others. For me it is the best song in the competition by a mile. Maybe I’m just in the minority…
I love Slovenia, I usually adore their entries (like Round & Round last year, which I thought was hugely underappreciated and underrated) but this one? I don’t get it… Why is she wearing massive headphones? And why are they so high up in the bets? Get your ears fixed!
Am I the only one who doesn’t get why Sweden’s song is so popular?
It’s just so average especially compared to the likes of Euphoria or Only Teardrops.
I wouldn’t be sure if he can have his big screen in Vienna since the stage looks rather cheap.

I hope that the Czech Republic, Ireland and Malta can scrape through. There are some other songs there that I’m partial too, but these three are the ones I really would love to see get through to the final.

These never-ending polls are useless and soooo boring, and they never get it right. I mean, this is so ridiculous: the first one was released before most of the songs were even out! I remember France in 2011 and UK in 2014 being the bookies’ favorites. That ended well…

In 2014 Austria (311 points in televoting), Netherlands (222 points), Armenia (193 points), Poland (162 points), Russia (132 points) were selected internally. In 2015 Russia and Spain are the best, which are also selected internally.
It is a tough job for the three duets in the same semi. Perhaps one will stay out. Norway’s performance was really underwhelming in their national final even though they have an amazing song. The Czech Republic, well they look kind of plastic and not really convincing like a couple on the cover of a saucy novel. Lithuania is upbeat and fun but a pretty frothy song. I can’t decide but perhaps not all three duets will pass after all.
I seriously hope Ireland qualifies this year, I love Molly’s song!

Now the best selection for Eurovision is internal selection. Countries such as Sweden, Norway and Denmark are in bad situation for this reason.

Sweden has a good history in Eurovision, but future will be much worse for this country.
There is no way San Marino are going to qualify and it’s going to be difficult for Montenegro no neighbours really in this semi. Ireland have a really good chance don’t forget there’s the UK, Australia (large Irish population) and the Nordic countries and with with jury help!

Hate to say it but San Marino will not qualify.
‘Heroes’ is a decent-good song, but its the staging that will really push it through. Look at Sweden since 2012, all amazing staging.

I understand this is the toughest semi, but Portugal and Cyprus with the same odds as Norway? C’mon bookies, be serious. I think the three nordics are a lock for the final, as well as Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia. Azerbaijan is at a disadvantage by having no neighbours/allies voting in this semi, but I think they’ll pull through. The 3 other spots are wide open, but I would personally prefer Poland, Malta and Israel.
This is really a hard semi to predict especially since i like at least 13 songs!
