A revamped version of Greece’s Eurovision 2015 entry ‘One Last Breath’ has been unveiled.
Maria Elena Kyriakou won the Greek national selection on 4th March with the original version of ‘One Last Breath’.
Now a ‘Eurovision’ version of the song has emerged on Youtube.

Last time we heard the song the bridge was all Anna Vissi. Now we’re feeling serious Xtina vibes off the vocal runs. Maria can sing!
Her voice should come as little surprise since she did win The Voice of Greece last year. Nor should the Xtina comparisons: watch homegirl go stratospheric with her version of ‘Hurt’.
As with many revamps this year, the new version of ‘One Last Breath’ has been given an orchestral lift and had the drama dialled up. And we love.

I agree, and even if we won we dont have to host it we can pass it on, like Italy did in JESC last year and Israel and Luxembourg did in the past in ESC.
After years of vomiting every single greek entry since the start of the televoting era or maybe since Antique decided to join in and wake up Greece for Eurovision (as they were also getting ready to embrace the euro currency and trashing it down 7 years later) … finally … I love this one! IT’S NOT SIMILAR TO CONCHITA’S SONG BUT BOTH OF THEM HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF THE JAMES BOND THEME.BUT OVERALL ARE DIFFERENT.
FOR ME BOTH OF THE VERSIONS ARE TOP 5 IN THE FINAL.

Its intresting the fact that despite our financial problems, eurovision is by far the most watched programme every year since 2001. We love the contest and thats obvious i think. I hope that we ll have another victory because we can host it despite all this financial thing. If u have good ideas, money are not that important….

Of course Greece is going to qualify. Greeks have (almost) always really strong televote and juries will support this song ( maybe not so much as Norway, Estonia or Italy but certainly more than the previous greek entries ). I predict that Greece will qualify and end up 8th-12th in the final!
Mario is just another hate who will have to SUCK IT UP when Greece qualifies AGAIN.

They need to make one more change: make the entire song as la final minute, and it would be amazing! The first 2 minutes are simply too slow… But a very good effort, and, overall, one of my favourite ballads this year

She has really good / strong vocals & voice but the song itself is really MEH & uninteresting..
Greece if manages to possibly qualify to the final will be because of this reason..

Frankly speaking, I can’t hear any difference. Anyway, it is still a good song, especially the second part, which is very powerful and will be able to make a huge impression on the listeners. Maria sings classy and her voice is so pure! If this song reaches a high place, it will be probably the result of the singing, not the composition, which is not very unique.

What about the new version of Portugal?
I also have to agree that the first one was underwhelming. Yet, this still does not change the way I think about where I could personally rank this song. It was a nice attempt to revamp this as the quality of this song is now enhanced. Songs like this makes me think that this could still be enjoyable to listen to after the contest ends.

Greece will not have that easy piece of cake job to qualify to the final in Vienna…
My prediction is : 6th to 10th place 4 *One Last Breath*..
The days that Greece was finishing on top positions on the semifinal each year have so passed & are over now..
Greece will have to be grateful from now on with just only the fact that will manage to qualify to the final even as 9th or 10th last finalist..
Im not really impresed by the greek entry this year… Not bad at all song but it is pretentious to me.. From the weak 1st semifinal that the overal level of the songs is not high Greece is qualifier.. I do not think that the all time record that Greece has of giving always the present to the final each year since 2001 will gonna break this year in Vienna.. But i do hope that Romania will get eliminated on the semifinal being the first time for Romania not progressing to the final since 2004 as unfortunately i dislike heavily… Read more »
It will be difficult for Greece to get to the final this year compared to years past. A lot of ex-soviets. And a lot of average/mediocre songs in the semi which means a lot will come down to pure luck. She is in the first part, which means she may appear first or second. On the other hand she can be really classy and she is one hell of a singer. Plus Greece will probably benefit more than any other country from Australia voting in the semi. P.S. This song is really boring, i rather read the lyrics than hear the song. Greece should not be in the final. This might be the first year for Greece they miss the final (shouldn’t be in the final 2010/2011/2014) so let Greece stay out for 1 year.
Yesterday I read in an interview that they wouldn’t do changes to the song but now they did and that surprises me a little.
I had hoped they would extend the second part of the song because it’s a bit too short imo. I like this part a lot, I think it’s spectacular.
It’s a little pity that they cut the piano at the beginning because I like pianos.
I can’t say anything about the other changes because I can’t listen to it in my country due to copyright reasons.

There seems to be some tiny but important things changed but hardly to tell; however I still love this song!!!! GO Maria-Elena!!!!
Minor changes mostly
First 10 seconds are now gone, they have added some violins throughout the song, some effects on the 2nd verse, a small lyric change and a bit more punch in the end.
