The Eurovision Song Contest will not be the end of “Amanecer”. On a recent promotional visit to Málaga, Edurne revealed that “Amanecer” will also be the theme song of La Vuelta, the Spanish cycling competition tour, due to take place in August and September.
Edurne was excited about the second life for her song, saying, “It’s a real pleasure to give my voice to La Vuelta.” The singer expressed her pride in giving her song another chance after the contest. Javier Guillén, the head of La Vuelta, says he considers the song, “a choice that fits with what both the competition and cyclists themselves want to become.” He also pointed out the “freshness” and the “epic nature” of the tune.
It’s that epic nature that has won Edurne plenty of fans in the Eurovision community. So no matter what the results are in Vienna, Edurne will have the opportunity to keep the spirit of “Amanecer” going and make an impression in the international cycling world.
@Sal and you should take an anti-envy pill. If your country’s song is a crap is not our fault. Spain will flop as always? Spain “flops” because unfortunatelly we have no neighbours to vote for us, unlike the rest of Europe. Eurovision is 50% about neighbours and politic interests, you should know that. But even having no neighbours we got two 10th places on 2012 and 2014, not bad. And we also got top 10 positions 6 times out of 14 from 2000 to 2014. @Iberian, I think you made a mistake – I told you to take a chill pill, not the Pathetic pill. whining here won’t make the spanish song any more likeable. it will, however, make people get annoyed with it because of his fan base.

I am glad with her promoting the song. I just would like to see a song in Spanish win, so that countries once again will sing in their own language.
Amanecer will either go Top 10 or bottom 5. I hope it’s Top 10, it’s my 3rd favourite and Edurne needs to prove all these people wrong.
Haters, please, get out of here. Thank you. And: Edurne, we love you, your voice is amazing, your song is great. No matter what haters (or some so called ESCFans may say), Edurne is fantastic. Good for her, that her song becomes the soundtrack to La Vuelta. It’s cool the haters will be even more jealous because of that.
