The latest episode of the French television series La fête de la chanson française featured three French Eurovision stars. Amaury Vassili (2011) and Anggun (2012) joined Lisa Angell as part of the star-studded line-up of FCF.

The show is a celebration of 100 years of French chanson, with contemporary artists performing beloved French songs and modern classics.

Anggun duetted with pop tenor Vincent Niclo on the emotional ballad “Pour une fois”, a track from his latest album, Ce que je suis. The pair performed the song with dramatic and intimate staging.

Amaury Vassili joined Lisa Angell for a duet of the saucy and insistent song “C’est comme ça que je t’aime”, originally performed by the Israeli-French singer Mike Brant and featuring on Amaury’s recent album of interpretations of Mike Brant songs. The 20-year age difference between Amaury and Lisa just added to the sass of the song.

And of course, Lisa Angell gave a stunning performance of her Eurovision song, “N’oubliez pas”. Along with her crowd-pleasing performance at Eurovision In Concert on the weekend, Lisa’s performance on FCF is further evidence that France has made the right decision by sending a traditional chanson performance to Vienna this year.

I honestly think that France has it this year. I mean that it can be boring, but it at least builds up to full blast. I personally think it is very good, even better than the screaming of Il Volo. She needs a good placing and an extremely powerful and emotional performance.

I am British and I don’t mind the French language. Our entry is terrible.

the problem with lisas song is that it is boring.. even for a french entry. it is not a particular emotional or original song…

her entry was trashed by the panel in the swedish pre-show ahead of esc tonight.. and even christer björkman the french entry loving singer trashed her song as a boring and unoriginal song.

Lisa is a good singer. But her song is SUPER boring.. she will probably finish between 27-20th place in the final. sorry france. but this years song is not worthy of france.

Amaury looks amazing now!!!

Lisa has a fantastic voice but somehow i think her song will get lost among so many ballads this year UNLESS she gets a good draw and the stage performance is emotional

Lisa Angell does not look good in her corsage. But I am afraid she better keeps it on.

The performance on the French TV is the first time I actually noticed the French song. It’s built quite effectively. I like it more now.

@Mario: Lol, just a few days ago you were telling me Amaury’s song was overrated and now you’re saying you wouldn’t have minded him winning?

Anyway, I agree with mad-professor on this one. One of only 3 ballads I’m not too keen on this year, along with Poland’s and Hungary’s.

This song could be sung by a horse and it would still be boring. I honestly feel sorry for Lisa because she’s a good singer, but this would be last in the final for me.

Well….What are the real chances 4 France to finish again last for a 2nd year in row??? Considering even the fact that France had never finished last before last year’s Vision all these decades that have been participating non stop in ESC since 1956.. By the way…The 1st EuroVision of 1956 took place on 24th May… When the voting kicks off in our 60th Diamond Vision will be after midnight so we will actually have 24th May! <3 😀 It will really be so special & emotional moment 4 all of us eurofans to celebrate our beloved EuroVision on exactly… Read more »

I really do not know how Lisa Angel will get treated with her beautiful ballad.. Hopefully France will avoid not only the last place like it suffered last year but the bottom last places as well.. I would be glad if Lisa wins the trophy but i can really expect just only a poor top15-20 result on a wishful thinking 4 her.. The juries might possibly have France on a descent enough place but its very questionable if the televoters at home will give many points to France… The videoclip 4 her song is really amazing though! <3 —————————————————————————– By… Read more »

For me France is strong contender for last place in final . My prediction for France in final from 23 to 27 place in final. Chance for better placing in final in left side of board maybe 9 to 12 place, only if they will be in TOP 5 with juries but i think France have small chance to do that with this boring song , San Marino with better song last year finish with juries on 25 place of 26 countries, becuase with televote my prediction is 26 or 27 place in final.

Such a class act. Definitely a contender for the left hand side of the board. The juries will eat this up and if placed between two uptempo songs (such as Lithuania, Israel or Georgia if they make it to the final) this has the opportunity to stand out.

I prefer FRANCE to win in Vienna over Italy & Estonia..
It will be delightful if EuroVision will be hosted next year by Paris..! <3
ESC will get much promotion & more popularity if France hosts the contest in 2016.. <3 🙂
The last time that France won the Vision was in 1977…Like ages ago..!

Lisa Angel’ song 4 France is currently my almost personal winner among all the entries of the Diamond Vision! <3 🙂 Just my 2nd /runner up ! <3 At first i was not that impressed with her song although i thought that its very nice, but later it managed to grow on me a lot and now i just love it! <3 😀 I get the same cool vibes with the French entries of 2001 & 2002! <3 If only Lisa could win the upcoming EuroVision and having next year's Vision hosted by the famous city of (Gay) Love that is… Read more »

I always thought sognu was totally overrated. Ok, Amoury has a decent voice, but song itself was a total mess, lacking a hook, a melody, even a proper arrangement. Anggun had a good song, but she shot herself in the foot by adding these strange gymnasts (pathetic attempt to get gay or female vote?) to her staging. I am ready to bet that without the gymnasts she would be in top 10. Lisa has the stongest French song in years, I sincerely hope Europe would be receptive to simplicity and emotion- just for once.

Amauri is very beautiful babe…<3 His long hair really hide his great beauty hotness..
I really wouldn't mind him winning the Vision of 2011…Opera at its finest…Pity that he didn't do better..

About Anggun…What a waste for her amazing song to finish at the bottom scoring even zero non points at all in the televoting alone..!
She deserved to be in top10…
