Ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 next month in Vienna, we asked you to relive the good, the bad and the ugly of national selection and pick your favourite show of the 2015 season. After 4,653 votes, we have the results and there is a clear winner.
First place: Melodifestivalen 2015
Despite some major changes and the introduction of the official voting app, y’all have voted Sweden’s Melodifestivalen as your favourite national final with a whopping 1,053 votes, that’s 22.63% of the overall total! This year’s six week event was co-hosted by Robin Paulsson and last year’s winner Sanna Nielsen. We went through highs (Eric Saade’s flying saucer) and lows (Molly PH failing to advance still makes us cry overtime) and clearly y’all loved the drama.

Second place: Selectia Nationala
Romania’s Selectia Nationala finished at a distant second place with 343 votes, 7.37% overall. This year’s national final is most likely to be remembered for the memorable interval act from 2004 Eurovision winner Ruslana. And not forgetting one of our own correspondents was part of this year’s national jury panel in Craiova.
Third place: Melodi Grand Prix 2015
Just like Melodifestivalen, Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix also went through some major changes this year, most notably scrapping the semi-finals and the return of the orchestra for their one-off appearance. They finished third with 281 votes, 6.04% overall.

What a surprise !!! Melodifestivalen is our favorite NF. Now the real question is if we chose Melodifestivalen over the ESC.
@Will myself William and Denise concluded in one of our Melfest roundups that we actually where more excited and hyped about Melfest than the ESC, although that will probably have changed by May :3
Sanremo, Melfest and USfÖ were by far the best in terms of music quality.
The opening of Norsk MGP was fantastic, OMG, amazing….Melodifestivalen so overrated….
It’s a valid word, I just think this site uses it a little too much and it gets annoying.
Do many fans prefer MelFest to the actual contest, would they like it the finals to be more like it?
y’all is a contraction of you + all, the same way it’s is it + is we’re = we + are, etc but no ones complaining about those being used…english speakers use a lot of contractions so its not surprising that “y’all” is being used a lot
anyways, melodifestivalen is always gonna be the eurovision worlds favorite, because everyone always has high expectations for the show production and for the winner. I mean Sweden has been in the bookies favorites to win every year since 2011, and it’s pretty much mini eurovision in general 😀
