Mariette slayed during Melodifestivalen 2015 and her song ‘Don’t Stop Believing‘ netted her a Top 3 result on the night of the final in Stockholm.
Today, SVT announced Mariette will be their spokesperson during the Grand Final and reveal who’s receiving douze points from Sweden.
Homegirl Mariette will be playing it cool as Sweden’s spokesperson.
She told SVT, “Spokespersons tend to be very neat and nice…I will try not to be rigid but I will be nervous.”
She added, “I will probably just be straight forward and give Sweden’s votes.”
Mariette described her time during Melodifestivalen 2015 as a total joy and she has an EP on the way, with a tour to follow in summer.
Måns Zelmerlöw won the competition and will sing ‘Heroes’ for Sweden in Vienna.

Spokespersons for Sweden have a long history of being former Melodifestivalen contestants. Alcazar presented the votes in 2014, YOHIO in 2013, Lynda Woodruf (aka Sarah Dawn Finer) in 2012, Danny Saucedo in 2011 and Eric Saade in 2010 to name just a few!
Mariette will present the Swedish points during the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 on May 23 in Vienna.
