Yesterday the first points for OGAE’s International ESC Poll came in with Italy, Sweden and Estonia receiving their first sets of douze points. Today OGAE Estonia, OGAE Russia, OGAE Denmark and OGAE Rest of the World (ROW) awarded their points — and there’s movement at the top of the leaderboard.

Estonia, Denmark and ROW all gave their top points to Sweden, while Russia awarded its 12 points to Italy.

Estonia placed in the top three with OGAE Denmark, ROW and Russia. Australia’s Guy Sebastian received his highest set of points so far – 10 from OGAE Estonia.

Sweden has now taken the lead, but is only three points ahead of Italy’s Il Volo. Estonia’s Elina Born and Stig Rästa are in the third place, followed by Australia and Slovenia.

Current Top 5 (2 May 2015)

Sweden – 83 points

Italy – 80 points

Estonia – 59 points

Australia – 36 points

Slovenia – 31 points

Milla & Johanna I do agree with your opinions as well …… BUT PLEASE HAVE A DETAILED LOOK WHAT IN WHAT I MEAN: Italy has a song on YOUTUBE with about 23,000.000 clicks with their song “grande amore” for almost over 2 MONTHS. And they do well with their Promotions. But my critics are, that the song has 03:45 minutes/ seconds, so nearly over 45 seconds too long . We all know that the maximum limit of a ESC song on stage has to be exactly 03:00 minutes. Otherwise disquaification. So now, do you feel that this fair that Italy… Read more »

Leo: First of all I have been watching Eurovision for twenty years myself and I would love to have those rules back! also the language rule would be nice! There are drawings of Måns new figure on the Svt-page and multiple interviews when he says that’s the changes that will be:-) Just sayin!! Otherwise I seem to agree with you. I just want everyone to get the facts straight that the figure stays!!

Well the armenian song last year finished 6th on the OGAE voting so the fans did not see it at all as the hot favorite to win unlike the bookies did…{ the song of Holland’s Common Linnets too that finished even 15th (!!) there..}
I NEVER understood why such not good enough song like *Not Alone* was seeing as winnning material song by anyone..
The swedish song was the absolute #1 fan favorite and the fact that Sanna Nielsen did not win eventually in Copenhagen was not because of her song alone..

Milla … Let’s see what the next days will bring us ? But if you are telling me that f.e. that for most of the European voting TV audiance they are going to see the competition acts only once or twice during the Live broadcastings (Semis & Grand Finals), why do ITunes or Youtube clips have more than 20- 50 Million clicks so far todays ?? So in my mind it’s a bit unfair & it should only count the live performances during the Semis & Grand Finals. These were the old rules from the past Dear Milla, can’t you… Read more »

Leo. I’m also not that young. The use of internet sure has made the entries easy to find. Some have live performances and some only have flashy music videos. The ones with live performances are easier to judge. Måns was really good on Melodifestivalen. And the performance won’t change much. Easy. He’s probobly number one on betting lists because he’s the easiest to judge or something. But in my mind the performance in ESC will be remembered no matter what. However, I believe that most people will see the performances for the first time infront of a screen. They have… Read more »

Milla & Johanna….Of course no country has to reveal their secrets about the real performing program act for the contest, but this is it what I mentioned due my couple of statements ago. Maybe some of the nations are doing the right thing to come up with big surprises with lovely stage performances at the Semis & Grand Finals. So their expectations are not so high overrated as many others (f.e. Sweden, Italy, Estonia or Australia). I am a senior ESC fan watching & following the contest over 40 years and I can rembember the time when it was completly… Read more »

Always the same. Every ranking published or cited here has to face a huge criticism. All over again many fans just forget the simple thing. All these rankings (except odds) show only the tastes of the voters, nothing else. They are not the predictions. Moreover, we haven’t seen the songs on the stage yet. Everything can change dramatically, what we could experience in reference to Austria and the Netherlands last year.

Leo.. Why should Måns and Christer reveal the performance before the rehearsals when no one else does it? Do Sweden have an obligation to show the finished result? I don’t think so. Perhaps to the swedes, but not for the rest of Europe before the competition.

Johanna, thank you for infos but:
Måns Zelmerlöw and Mr. Christer Björkman from Sweden both of them won’t show us the new version & video till their first rehearsas starting in Vienna on MAY 11th.
From my part I can only speculate why they are hidding with all that up. ???
The ESC should remain a mostly fair song & songswriter competition even when there is a lot of unfair financials aspects involved.
Can you now follow my words ?
So Long !

Måns will have his cartoon figure and the number will look almost the same (to those who wondering) It will have a changed hat and a ballon instead of an umbrella. So the number will pretty much be the same. all according to svt.se/melodifestivalen were Måns said it himself.

Hi there to all my friends of WIWIBLOGGS. OGAE fanclubs & their votes are giving us a 100 % per cent indication which countries are not going to be ranked in the top 5 at the Grand Final, that’s for sure. But on the other hand it’s only a “SCREENSHOT” of the actual momentum of preferences who they like or who they don’t – but combined with all informations we actually we do not have, for example, what about Italy – they have still NOT cut their song from minutes & seconds 03:40 to the limit of minutes 03:00 !!!!!… Read more »

I hope Estonia will destroy Italy and Sweden here. I personally hate both the Swedish and Italian entries and they’re both in my Bottom 10, so I would really like to see Estonia take them down both in this and the actual contest. Either that or someone can rise from somewhere much lower in the betting odds to produce an upset!

(( I don’t want Sweden to win the actual contest. It’s so overrated for me. Yes, the show is really great, but the song itself isn’t #1 material. Slovenia, Italy, Norway, Belgium, Estonia, Albania, Spain are so much better!

David Thielen

Sweden is peaking too early to win. This is what happened with Aram MP3 last year. Being the top favorite 3 weeks out generally does not lead to a win.

It would be cool if WiWiBloggs posted an actual article revealing to all of us curious eurofans how many active members actually exist in each OGAE fun club..
I would like it to get informed about this info..

Mario

By the way..
4 some OGAE fun clubs to have few members with result for each member’s votes to have bigger impact on the outcome overall ranking compared with others OGAE fun clubs {like Germany’s & Greece’s} that have too many active members..
Its different case 4 a country’s OGAE fun club to have only 46 members to vote & whole different case 4 other OGAE fun club to have 288 or 573 members..

There are still the Bulgarian votes of April 30 missing. And Germany’s OGAE club has published their vote already as well:

It’s a current voting, but deadline was today at 8 p.m., Estonia won the German OGAE vote.
