There’s not many clubs left to vote in this year’s OGAE Poll 2015 but anything can still happen. Today two Nordic brothers, OGAE Finland and OGAE Sweden, and two big 5 countries, OGAE Spain and OGAE Germany, gave their points.

OGAE Finland and OGAE Spain both awarded their top marks to Italy’s Il Volo. So far 13 countries have given Il Volo their douze points. However, OGAE Sweden and OGAE Germany gave their highest marks to Estonia’s Elina Born & Stig Rästa, who sit in third position at the moment.

Ron makes a good point about semi 2, because I struggled to pick out 10 songs which I thought would qualify. It’s not going to be the strongest show in Eurovision history.
It’s beginning to look like an Italian runaway.

It’s so frustrating to see that people are UNDERESTIMATING countries with fantastic entries such as Poland and Albania.

Mark my words, these two will light up the scoreboard in the final. I think Israel is yet again another OGAE fanwank and although I enjoy the song, it could be the song that doesn’t qualify – yet again.

Conchita was 4th in the OGAE last year and won the contest. If the same thing happens, these ranks don’t change and Maraaya wins the contest, I’d be really happy. :p

The OGAE voting is quite insane this year. They have TEN countries on nil points in Semi 2 (!) If we take this at face value, only seven songs from this semi deserve a place in the final, the other ten may as well stay at home, as they don’t merit a point between them.

After listening and relistening to all the songs for weeks now, i’ve grown tired of most of them. My top10 keeps changing everyday and it will continue to change till esc week. Estonia is the exception. Still my solid number 1 and i listen to it everyday. I don’t think they’ll win the whole thing, but i really wish they did.

I don’t care who wins, I only want to see Helene Fischer singing Merci Chérie in honour of Udo Jürgens. I’ll cry so hard and then die happily. In for the in this year: In for the win are Finland and Italy at this point. We must not forget that EBU is not an apolitical body, it wants to become more relevant and wants a bigger audience every year. Only a Finnish or Italian victory could create such a momentum, maybe Australia. Sweden would create the complete opposite and might even disengage viewers and participants. Slovenia, Norway and Estonia have… Read more »

Eugene ESC UK:.

Of course as always ….but specially this years Staging & Performing already during the rehearsals will be probably VERY VERY IMPORTANT for the Big Final & of course 1 st place Winner.. As it looks now, we have a very competative ESC 2015 with about 6-7 countries as the front runners.
So I am going to tell you something, I am senior ESC fan over the 60’s
so hopefully I don’t get heart attack in Vienna ….:)

@ Eugene i was informed by Oostenrijk about that.. If i recall what i read many days ago the Austrians gave thjeir 12 points to Italy…But im not 100% sure.. They must had voted Sweden 4 sure.. The only points that i can fully remember are the 2 points that Estonia received by their Ogae club because i was really surprised that they had the estonian song only 9th.. My own country’s OGAE Greece voted Estonia’s song with 10 whole points as almost winner in 2nd place behind only 1st Italy.. Really unfortunate that 2 ogae clubs that were Italy’s… Read more »

@ Yes Eugene..
Possibly we gonna have too many countries gathering a very much low number of points on this Vision..
I can see even having not only just 1 country receiving 0 zero points but more than one or maybe 2…Maybe it will mark a negative record of multiple different songs getting non points at all..
Can you imagine 2 or 3 countries getting non any points at all…? Just wow if this unfortunate scenario happens indeed in Vienna..

@ Leo, OGAE clubs are in total ignorance of Finland, and they will be very big in the actual results…. So in the end, OGAE will once again be totally wrong, as they are only entitled to their constrived taste without any predictive indication…

It’s unavoidable that Finland will have a very good result, like it or not

@ Eugene, Israel might be a trainwreck on stage, don’t bet on them… Dancy upbeat numbers like this are mostly sang out of tune

I think the ESC voting system needs a little revolution, more countries need to get points.

1 point for the next 10-12 countries
2 points for the next 5 countries
3 points for the next 3 countries
4 to 12 points for the Top 7 countries in ascending order.

Eugene ESC UK:. I am with you & totally agree … but wait a minute dear Eugene ! What I meant before & that’s only another mark for your statistisc for this years OGAE polls 2015 & …….come on please have a little laugh about OGAE polls. Compared to other years in which big points were going to (San Marino, Hungary, etc. etc.) this time the OGAE members were really looking for quality stuff, isn’t ? This is for some reasons the first time good news & a remarkable for keeping up quality statistiscs for next ESC events in the… Read more »

OMG I am so scared when ESC is over, the PED will hit me hard…. this was the best year ever, it’s almost over *cries*

It’s also worth noting that every year, the OGAE’s top 5 includes songs that fail miserably in the ESC (I think the ranked Israël 3rd last year, and they didn’t even clear the SF). So I think we can expect some surprises from “favourites” like Estonia or Norway, who will either get eliminated in the SF or place very low in the final.

@ Oh yes *Eugene*…. Well written.. The main mass of the points mainly go to few songs that end up with over 100-90-80 points… All the others are just the exceptions that occur either by block voting, sympathy voting & not by a separate reason.. When only just 10 songs from the 25-26& 27{this year} will receive points with the 10th-9th or even 8th gathering just only 1-2-3 points and being not enough points we have 6-7 songs ONLY that receive enough big amount points by each voter country…Thats really unfair system to vote because the songs that still finish on… Read more »

i don´t always agree with the fan favourites before the constest but i’m so glad that 7 songs of my personal top 10 are doing so well. I have slovenia in 9th, australia 8th, spain 5th, estonia 4th, norway 3rd, sweden 2nd and italy 1st. so i´m pretty excited about the battle between the two frontrunners

Oh…I forgot to remove the <3 emoticon next to Serbia because initially i had written that the beautiful song of my dear Bojana got one set of 12 points though.. <3 But i removed after that sentence because it would be too long.. Yes…In a tie,we have to evaluate the criteria about HOW MANY ogae clubs have actually voted 4 a song rather than how many points a song has received from a single Ogae club alone.. Even if my #1 most favorite song from all had got 12 points by only a single one Ogae fun club & we… Read more »

It really looks that we already have a winner on the number of 12 points gathered & that is ITALY.. 🙂 If the flow continues the italiano song *Grande Amore*can reach the 20 sets of *12 points*..! Really impressive record..! <3 Sweden will most likely surpass the 10 sets of *12 points* 4 sure.. Last year Sweden with Sanna gathered 20 whole sets of 12 points..! <3 Emmelie received 18 sets of 12 points in 2013 OGAE voting.. <3 Loreen earned 19 sets of 12 points in 2012…<3 BUT only 26 fun clubs had voted in 2012 compared with the… Read more »

Eugene ESC UK: .

We all know you like statistics … 🙂
But:
It seems to me that for this year 2015 most of the 40 OGAE national members have a very similar voting taste. Let me put it in other words, i.e, like in a horse race language: Nobody of them want to make a punt on a “wrong horse” – most of them are following the odds of the UK bookies, therefore
it’s very likely that we won’t see any big surprises from the remaining other 12 OGAE nations pools coming up the shortly next days.

Italy & Sweden are the only countries that have got voted by ALL the OGAE fun clubs so far.. And i really do not see this record breaking with the flow that the voting is going with both of them not only keeping on their *unstoppable* run with being in every Ogae club’s top10 but to receive many points by each club even.. Sweden last year with Sanna’s *Undo* although was the clear runnnaway winner with over 350 points was not voted by all the OGAE fun clubs unfortunately though.. Only Emmelie De Forrest & Loreen managed to enjoy this… Read more »

Really? Is my country going to give 12 points to Italy AGAIN? To that song which is pretentious, gimmicky and so over the top? When they never give a s*** about us? Whatever, but you guys don’t represent me.

My country is Spain, by the way.

Italy have presented good songs in the past years, they take the contest seriously and I guess this year is no exception. But I just hate this song, I hated it the first time I heard it and I’ve been growing to hate it even more. I just pray for it not to win.

Bravo to Estonia but its really too late now 4 the estonian song to cover all this big gap of points with the 2 leading songs of Italy & Sweden so to have any chance of winning the OGAE voting… I really sense & predict with the flow of the voting that Italy will end up as the winner of OGAE 2015 voting with Sweden being with not that many points behind.. In 2012 we had a runaway winner we Loreen.. In 2013 the same with Emmelie De Forrest.. In 2014 the same with Sanna Nielsen.. This year 2015 this… Read more »
