Lisa Angell recently performed her Eurovision song “N’oubliez pas” on the French television show Le Grand Studio RTL. And unlike the dramatic orchestral arrangement of the recorded version, this time Lisa delivered a stripped-down acoustic performance.
In recent weeks we’ve seen the French chanteuse mesmerise the Eurovision In Concert crowd with her Amsterdam performance of “N’oubliez pas”, and then later deliver a rousing performance to a home crowd on the French TV show La fête de la chanson française.
But for Lisa’s appearance on La Grand Studio, she kept it simple. The backing track was gone and in its place Lisa was only accompanied by a piano and a guitar. The simple arrangement highlighted the strengths of Lisa’s voice and gave further evidence that the French chanteuse will be more than capable of delivering a rousing performance in Vienna in two week’s time.
Robyn Gallagher:.- My Dear Robyn, come on sweatheart have a little laugh with me I knew before what you meant with OLD BELGIAN GRANNIES … therefore I was responding you that these still YOUNG BELGIAN SPRINCHICKEN CINDERELLAS would probably rather like to listen to the partly french lyrics* of the 1966 winning song *MERCI CHERIE than listening to this years 2015 boring entry of FRANCE. I am sure that many french speaking countries & their people will have the same arguments like me. We all want to celebrate, watching & listening to a big ESC party in Vienna, therefore nobody… Read more »
I have my doubts if France will again finish last on the final like it happened last year…
The song is beautiful enough to receive at least enough points so will get saved from the last place…
Lisa Angell could even finish inside the top20 if it turns great 4 her in Vienna 🙂
Well i really like France’s song on this Vision.. <3
Its one of my most favorites songs <3
Currently i have the french song as high as 4th in my top40 <3
Alexandre No , I predict for 2014 french entry last place when many predicts high position after performance at french television before result of national final voting in France. For me best choice for France that year was boy band who finished on 3rd place of 3 finalist in France. Last good song for me from France was in 2009, Patricia Kaas deserved to be in TOP 3 for me that year. For me best 3 songs from France from 2000 to 2015 at Eurovision are song from 2009, 2005 , 2001 and than 2010 I didn t like that… Read more »
PP,
You’re getting boring man seriously. It’s always the same message on each article about the French song. Maybe you were part of the Moustache fanatics last year ?
N’Oubliez pas, even if it’s not the best ballad, is clearly a logical choice after the bad results of the three last years, that tried to be modern and fresh in vain.
france can send great ballads. but everyone, lets be honest, this is a boring bland ballad. it has nothing that makes it grand or special in any way. It will probably end up last or at the very best at 22-24 place.
so please France if you want to send a boring ballad, atleast send one with some spunk.
the song is boring. and to be honest beneath original… she can be glad if she gets more than 5 points in ESC
Robyn:.-
I don’t know why you are calling these wonderful telephone voting ladies
as “Old Belgian grannies” … do you ?
In my mind these Belgian ladies still will feel like beautiful youngsters,
but they we love to relisten to the winner song from 1966,
“MERCIE CHERIE” —-Udo Jürgens Austria:::
But these 2 lovely words are much too far away neither from a winning point nor from top15-20 placed final ranking position about FRANCE or UK’S entries.
In my opinion it’s a pitty that both countries are not competetive again.
Merci Cherie Robyn
@Robyn – plus at least one Romanian granny – my mom 😉
Great voice! I am Romanian and even if I am not so good at French, love this song. Lot of emotions:) Good luck Lisa!
France is strong contender for last place in final . I predict from 23 to 27 place in final
An acoustic version? Like the original version is a dance-pop one. And yes none cares about France this or any other year.
Eugene ESC UK:.
Eugene confirmed my suggestions, hi Eugene you would love this place in Vienna.
I am here in VIENNA very next to the big ESC hall “STADTHALLE”,
people from all over Europe are right now dancing & waving their flags,
they are laughing and everyone is in a good mood.
Noboddy here likes the FRANCE or UK entries, I feel really sorry for them.
So long
People just don’t understand that we (french people) don’t care about eurovision song contest and then the most important is that we like our song..
Hi Robyn G.:. I am so sorry ::::: repeating again:::::: I am so sorry for my friends in FRANCE with this entry for Vienna, but it’s the same sad story like the UK’s entry for this year 2015. IT IS REALLY NOT COMPETETIVE ENOUGH TO MAKE ANY CHALLENGE INTO THE TOP 20’s. STOP PLEASE, THAT’S IT !! France Television and their officials have to be asked & to take responsibility for such e weak entry. BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT FRENCH MUSIC HAS MUCH MORE TALENTS & QUALITY TO COME, FRANCE TELEVISION NEED A NEW PERSON IN CHARGE AS A… Read more »
This will get many jury votes. I don’t think it will be in the top 10 but I’m pleased it’s in the contest.
A lot of people care! Lisa is a great performer and this is a beautiful version of this song. France deserves top 10 in my opinion.
Elm, I do. Live >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Studio
I really dont think anyone cares about France this year, lol
