William: This is how you slay. Georgia’s Nina Sublatti turned up to her first rehearsal at Eurovision 2015 with the toal package — vocals, costume, camera angles and attitude. Vocally this was dark, mysterious and pitch-perfect. That carried over to the staging, which saw Nina standing still with a lot of LED magic happening around her. At various points she sprouted wings, stood on lightning, and swirled in an other-worldly universe of clouds. During the bridge we see two large eyeballs releasing tears. But Nina, don’t cry: You’ve just threw yourself in contention to win Eurovision. Her costume — which looks like a Victoria’s Secret model at a Dracula party — is an example of a racy outfit that works.

Padraig: And there you have it – the winner of semi final one. If anyone else comes out on top there’s no justice. It’s hard to believe that this is the same song and performer we first saw in January. The Nina we witnessed today is the ultimate popstar. Everything about the performance was fine-tuned to the smallest detail. Her outfit was outlandish, yet stylish. The LED screens and stage effects stunning. The moment we see her wings appear is breathtaking. And of course her vocals cannot be faulted. Tibilisi 2016?
Chris: Without a shadow of a doubt, this has been the best rehearsal of the entire first semi final. Nina absolutely KILLED it on the first performance and it got even better in each following run-through. The graphics on the screen are by far and away the best of the semi final, the vocals are great, staging…there aren’t enough words to describe how much I loved this one. Georgia have come back from their 2014 disaster with arguably the best package of Eurovision 2015 so far. This is one we’ll be talking about for years to come.

Georgia’s *Warrior* is my #1 most favorite not only in the 1st SF but from all the 40.. <3 I hope that at least Nina will manage to get her qualifying ticket 4 the big final as her song truly deserves to pass.. Its not out of the case to claim 4 Nina that she can finish in the top10 in the grand final & beat the all time best result/place 4 Georgia that is 9th.. OK. I loved Georgia. But it’s not a winner. They just made a good decorations. But the song is not for top 10. Armenia is still my favorite, also Greece, Estonia

Well the first rehearsals from the first semi are over. They did not change my mind compared to what I’ve thought before they started. Russia, Greece and Georgia will be definite qualifiers in a quite “feminine” semi. Belgium and Estonia will most probably make it as well.
On the other hand, Moldova, FYRoM, Serbia and Belarus are almost definite non-qualifiers.
Everything else is wide open which will probably benefit Finland and perhaps Armenia who might just squeak by.
This song is missing something, like drama or climax, but something just doesn’t click. This will qualify though. But, this is not best performance of the night.
