OGAE clubs all over Europe and beyond have been voting for their favourite Eurovision 2015 songs and the results have been revealed over the past week. Forty-one clubs and thousands of votes later, we have the winner. Italy’s Il Volo received douze points from 18 countries, leaving Sweden’s Måns Zelmerlöw trailing in second place by 29 points.

Estonia’s Stig Rästa & Elina Born finished in third position, while Mørland & Debrah Scarlett from Norway came fourth. Slovenia’s Maraaya complete the top five.

The final five clubs to reveal their points — OGAE Moldova, OGAE Israel, OGAE Croatia, OGAE Cyprus and OGAE Austria — gave the majority of their points to Italy. Only OGAE Moldova and Croatia bucked the trend. The former gave their points to Sweden and while the latter Slovenia.

Shockingly 15 contestants received no points. These include Malta’s Amber, Ireland’s Molly Sterling and Latvia’s Aminata Savadogo.

All I can say – there’s no point of ogae. I’ve already made my plan for next year – I will not listen to the songs until semi. That ruins everything.

@ Well the ogae fans might were influenced at least in degree by the bookmakers or wiwibloggs but they must voted mainly according to their own music taste & criteria…They are not just sheeps to like songs only because of others factors other than the fact that being themselfs that really like them.. It is non true to vote 4 a song just because it is considered hot favorite.. Australia & Finland are seen hot favorites by im not fan of these songs.. The song of Australia did not do really great in OGAE voting 4 a song that is… Read more »

I hate Italy and Sweden’s song. My top two had no points (Latvia and Ireland) but at least my least favourite (Armenia) also had nil points.

Poor Estonia the OGAE curse will strike again.

It’s very typical for lots of countries to get 0 points from the OGAE poll, though. It really means almost nothing (although it’s generally a pretty safe bet that a country with 0 points in the OGAE poll will not win).

Very disappointed in the OGAE results this year. Ireland, Malta and Latvia definitely deserved points. It was complete the complete fanwank countries that dominated the poll…surprise, surprise. If people honestly believe Belarus, Finland, Lithuania, Israel, Serbia and United Kingdom are better than Ireland, Malta, Latvia and even Austria…then you need to get your ears checked! This sort of behavior, e.g. Liking the worst songs in the competition just because Wiwibloggs does, or because you want to holiday in that country next year, is what gives ESC a bad name and why it isn’t credible in today’s music industry, when actual… Read more »

Every year, at least one high-ranked song in the OGAE poll flops.

Hmm…I wonder who will suffer this year.

Good news! If OGAE loves my most hated song it will probably fail miserably.

I think we could definitely see Italy win, not sure if it will be a runaway winner though, there’s a lot of good songs this year.

Italy is a potential winner I would be happy to see actually win. They are Eurovision veterans and haven’t won since 1990, and they always sing in Italian! This competition in Vienna looks like it’s gonna be Italy vs. Sweden. If this is it, then I’m 200% Italian!
