William: Following Elina & Stig’s first rehearsal earlier in the week we got a little nervous — and so did the bookies. They were still experimenting with camera angles and set-up, and it didn’t seem to gel. But this afternoon Estonia totally righted the wrongs and are back in the game. This was tighter, smoother and significantly more emotional — and much of that was actually down to Elina. Her face conveyed so much emotion: It’s as if she’s been saving it all up for closer to the competition. At the end of the performance Stig disappears, as does his shadow on the floor. This is dramatic, touching and clever. Tallinn 2016?

Estonia’s second rehearsal at Eurovision 2015

Padraig: Someone call Norway. This is how it’s done. Dark, broody and full of attitude. Estonia are sailing straight to the final, and if they can recapture what we saw today, there’s nothing to stop them from winning. The staging is inspired. In the clip above you see Stig walk off stage, but on television you’ll see Elina flick her wrist and make him disappear. It’s inspired!

This is simply amazing, what a wonderful song. And again: I love their reluctant attitude. I think Israel or Sweden should win, but if not, then this one should! Great, Estonia!

I wish Estonia the best but a victory is impossible. They sould be aiming for the top 10.

Wow, I really loved that beginning, especially Elina’s entry, so slick
The rest of the song was less gripping, the static background being the main reason. If it had been a moving cityscape it would’ve felt cooler.
But I feel like that will change when I see everything work together on TV. For the moment every act looks a little uninteresting since they’re just rehearsals recorded with less-than-amazing quality and cameramen running everywhere.

I was worried for them a few days ago but this performance has reassured me of how great this song is. Would love to see it win.

Yes this does sound bold and intriguing, especially if his shadow disappears as well. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

For all i care, they could just sit down on the stage and sing and i would still vote for it! But i actually liked this rehearsal a lot, the beggining with the shadows looks absolutely stunning and it should work really well on camera. I believe Stig wasn´t quite right with is timming as he seemed to rush when he walked away. I’m sure they’ll have it right on tuesday. The only thing i would change: the shadows again in the end. But like i said: this is a masterpiece and i hope people really stand by this and… Read more »

My heart says Sweden, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium or Italy will win. But my head says Estonia will win.

Eurovision 2016 could see us going back to Tallinn’s Saku Suurhall Arena after 14 years.

Nooooo! Stig, throw away that bloody guitar and get closer to Elina! Give us the same feeling and touch as you have in your promo video. That staging is going to ruin your performance and it will cost you at least 60 points in the final. Please, hear my wish!

I understand but am a little wistful that people are starting to get tired of this right as I’m starting to like it.

Azerbaijan and Sweden can have talking dog on the stage but based on the song the real contenders for the win are ESTONIA, SLOVENIA and NORWAY !!!!

The song is still great but the staging is still not clicking for me. I expected something a bit more intimate but they seem to get swallowed up by their backdrop. It just does not seem to fit the song.
