William: Serbia’s Bojana Stamenov must have had an energy drink before her second rehearsal: She somehow managed to turn up her energy and power even more this time around. She started the rehearsals with white flags swirling around her, but by her third take had replaced them with pink, orange and purple ones. When she hits that note — you know the one — the LED background explodes with pink and silver fabulosity. Styling wise she toned down her hair and no longer looks like she was electrocuted. In some ways I prefered it the other day — it had more drama, but perhaps she’s just saving the hairspray for the semi final. It goes without saying that her vocals were perfect. She’s a musical tsunami. You can feel her miles away!

Serbia’s second rehearsal at Eurovision 2015

Padraig: We basically saw a slicker version of Tuesday’s show. Bojana’s hairdo has been changed, and in subsequent run-throughs the dancers swapped their white flags for coloured ones. I still feel the song is too garish and tacky, and seeing it in the middle of the day, rather than right at the beginning like on Tuesday it doesn’t seem as impressive. This should qualify, but only just.

You’re wrong, Darren – bearded men in dresses are so Eurovision 2014!

@Robyn YOUR COMMENT! I cracked up, it’s so true!

As for Bojana, I actually really enjoyed this, she slays with her vocals and her attitude, I really like her dress and when they do the sign language, it makes the message come across even better. The dancing after the costume change is kinda ridiculous but it doesn’t distract from the song. Don’t know if it’s a winner, but I’d send her right to the final 🙂

Yes, the staging could be ”Eurovision 2008” or ”2005” (just like one Dutch newspaper has just published. But, following the same course of mind, two singers on the stage, with two mics, and one of them holds a guitar could be lets say…. Eurovision 1962 or ’67. I mean, people, what can I say. She slays! The roof in the hall is going to fly to the moon. Deal with it, embrace life and beauty.

Oh my!! Serbia…what have you done? :O The staging is very Eurovision 2008…so tacky!!! Classy, sophisticated staging really could have worked well for Bojana. The dancers should go, the dress is horrible. She should be by herself, In a beautiful gown. I’m sure Hera Bjork would approve tough. Nice to see Serbia back but Im afraid this wont be going into the final. Serbia at ESC is like a roller coaster, up and down. Often they bring something really brilliant and astonishing (2007, 2008, 2011, 2012), then other years is a complete train wreck (2009, 2010, 2013)

The last minute is a bit better but before that, it does look a bit sinister! Afraid that I still do not like it at all. The staging has just made a bad song even worse.

I can understand why some people saw the flags and went “KKK” but thankfully with the change in colour they look spectacular now. As for the masks, I truly love them and the metaphor that they deliver – really sums up the message of the song perfectly and its beautiful <3

The people with the masks and the flags really do look like the Ku Klux Klan! A very bizarre choice for a song about how wonderful it is to be “different”.

After the costume change it becomes so bad it is downright laughable. I like myself some camp but this is so amateurish and puerile. No way this qualifies – she will probably finish last in the semi.

I truly hope that dear Bojana from Serbia will manage to qualify to the big final because i really worry about her..!
Her song *Beauty Never Lies* is my 3rd favorite on the SF & my 6th favorite overall among the 40. <3

I must say Serbia have impressed me, while the song starts off quite bland and the staging more so, I think it goes perfectly with the song and the second part just blew me away.

It’s just a shame to waste such a great voice on a song that dull. I like it that Bojana moves a bit in the second part, many other singers just stay there wihtout even lifting a foot (yes, I’m talking to you, Trijntje), but she adds a bit of energy. Still, it somehow doesn’t work for me, still a bit too “clinical”. But maybe that’s because of the camera angle. Adding some more colours would alter their chances of qualifying, I guess. But still then, not sure if this will make the top 10 in the semi.
