Vienna City Hall (Wiener Rathaus) was the place to be last night, as the stars descended for the Eurovision 2015 opening ceremony. Singers, dancers, tv hosts and mentors from 40 delegations walked the red carpet under the glare of the world’s media and adoring fans. The entourages were all smiles and waves as they paraded by, but this is Eurovision. It’s a contest, and even on the red carpet competition is fierce. Which stars were dressed to impress? And which ones were victims of a fashion car crash? We’ve collected photos of each of the acts, and y’all can rate them a “Hit” or a “Miss”. As an Albanian, I am sorry to inform you that eurovision does not have a solid fan base in Albania. Although I must admith that with Elhaida’s participation this year, the media attention has much grown. The point of all this is that I really think there are not that many albanians voting here. How in the world is Nina the best dressed? I mean she’s wearing a suit… Nothing special… A simple black suit… If we’re talking suite, then I must say that Mans was way better looking!! I personally think the best dressed male is Daniel Kajmakoski (probably because I would wear that myself) and the best dressed female is Edurne by a long shot.
Although her choice in clothing isn’t stellar, I think Lisa Angell looked absolutely adorable and cute. I love it.
Leonor’s was an absolute disaster. Kind of like Moldova ESC 2014. Bojana looked like an extravagant gypsy drag queen, and Maria Olafs’ dress was nice but she needed to wear some shoes……
What with Albanian and Georgian votes!? Seriously, are you guys paid to vote for your countries? Because, doing that you only create wrong image, boosting your own expectations, which could lead only to a big disappointment once you realize that 90% of Europe doesn’t share your opinion.
Mans and Edurne! The Red Carpet was on the news and when Mans had to sing a part of Walk Along and pronounce Trijntje’s name, my mom was like: Well, he is really good-looking”. :’ D
Not a fan of Elhaida’s dress. I thought Mans, Debrah Scarlett, Maria Elena and Bianca from the UK all looked great.

Wow !!! I thought Mans Zelmerlow’s black leather pants and grey sweatshirt was like second skin. Anyway,Spain , Norway ,Albania and Greece stood out. Poland and Latvia was also good. Stig’s pink sneakers was an interesting choice.

Can I just take a minute to rage about how terrible the official live coverage of the Red Carpet was? The camera shots were horrible, I can draw the City Hall by memory by now, but we didn’t get a single shot of the arrival of delegations such as Sweden, Russia, Hungary, Belarus or Switzerland. The commentators obviously didn’t pass European Geography 101, because they couldn’t distinguish the Blatics from one another and mistook the Netherland for France at least twice.
