Azerbaiyan’s Elnur Hüseynov is feeling very comfortable in Vienna. On this, his second attempt at Eurovision, the Azeri wolf is laid back and letting the good times roll. We caught up with him on the red carpet of the Opening Ceremony on Sunday and we can tell you this: The wolf is howling for the victory, y’all!

Elnur was wearing a very smooth black suit and talked with our William about his ever-changing style: It’s no wonder why he’s a top contender on Eurovision’s Next Top Male Model!). He also introduced us to his international team, including his “wolf” Lukas McFarlane, with whom we also had the pleasure to chat on the red carpet. Elnur said he can’t choose a favourite country among all the ones he has visited in recent months, and says he can’t assume the Turkish diaspora will vote for him. For sure the Turks will love him, just like the rest of Europe…

How much do you like Elnur’s second try at the Eurovision? Do you think the Turkish diaspora will favour him? Tell us below!

Sound in Azerbaijan`s action was not perfect, but the staging deserves special attention! Brilliant idea and worthy of implementation. Especially dancers on the background the red moon!

@J.C.Robs I do appreciate that you found my comment at some point questionable. But all artist who went on stage at least once and performed – they worked, hard. Elnur is not an exception. And I just voiced up my own believes cause this is how I feel. And I feel that he deserves victory

People may say different things about the scene with dancers, but they did a great job with composition, to join moves with words. Elnur brings together great things, wish him Good Luck!

@Alicia ‘He deserves it with all his work and powerful song!’ How exactly he worked and deserved something? The song and everything else was bought once again all inclusive in Sweden. So what are you talking about? /funny

This is Azerbaijan’s best entry ever in my view and his delivery and interpretation of the song is like an act of true deliverance, but I personally don’t find him attractive or ‘yummy’ and in fact, his facial features are somewhat asymmetric in my subjective perception of beauty. I’m only mentioning this because we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover just like we shouldn’t judge a song for superficial attributes.

He’s a great interviewee. He’s smart, intelligent and funny. I wish he spoke more English to express himself better. But it’s still pretty good. No need to mention he’s got an amazing voice. Good luck Elnur!

A grown man not knowing how to make interviews in english!! azerbaijan almost always sends these people who seem to have slept during english class in school.

I however am aware that plenty of countries have low or no classes in english.,

Ugh!! Why cant he be gay for me???? love Elnur <3
Anyways, song wise…it is my favorite Azerbaijani entry since 2009 and only the 3rd Azeri entry I have liked since their debut (2009, 2012, 2015) I'm sure Azerbaijan is a definite qualifier..because, well, its Azerbaijan and they never miss a final, they have literally qualified with worse (2014) and won with much worse (2011)
