Last Sunday, Lisa Angell brought some Gallic glamour to the Eurovision red carpet, stopping for a tête–à–tête with our William. The amazing French chanteuse with the voice of an Angell confessed that she has wanted to represent her country at Eurovision since the age of seven.
Lisa Angell – Red Carpet Interview
She told us that she was very happy with her staging and LED, which got a big cheer in the press room during her first rehearsal. Because Lisa doesn’t sing in English but in her native tongue, the screen helps deliver the message of the song to the viewers. Regarding the message, she said that it is not only about World War I or the recent terror attacks in Paris, but also a personal message of hope and recovery after personal troubles in one’s live.
When asked about her beautiful voice, Lisa told us that she discovered it when she was four. At 11, she won a national singing competition with “L’oiseau et l’enfant”, Marie Myriam’s winning French entry from 1977. And now she’s at Eurovision! Oui, oui, oui! We love our French Angell!

France this year is great, but please… its so annoying that i had to learn French at school (and English and German) while they don’t even learn to speak English. Don’t be lazy you frenchiez! ;p
When she answrered the first question in English I was like:”WOW.There is a French resident speaking english .Ring the alarm”. But no.
Sorrowful, but I like it.
According to the audience of this afternoon’s dress rehearsal, Switzerland seems like the big favourite for Semi 2.
Or maybe delusional Austrians just suck up to their loveliest neighbours, who knows…
