Following last night’s jury show inside Wiener Stadthalle, the bookies have adjusted their odds for who will win and who will qualify from semi final 2. Sweden’s Mans Zelmerlow and Norway’s Mørland & Debrah Scarlett remain solid locks for Saturday. But further down the table there’s a glut of potential borderline qualifiers — including Poland’s Monika Kuszynska, Iceland’s Maria Olafs, Montenegro’s Knez, Malta’s Amber, and Switzerland’s Mélanie René — who are in a standoff for those final spots. I said it before and I will say it again: how anyone could have Malta as a non-qualifier is truly beyond me!!!! It’s actually my favourite this year, but apart from personal preferences, it’s a great song and Amber sings it very well indeed!

@Leaf – Yeah, that was the point i was trying to make. I wouldn’t mind if they totally bashed the song or had only negative things to say about yesterday’s rehearsal for the juri. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, i accept it. But to just roll their eyes and quickly beg to move on to a different topic… Well, that’s just wrong. At the end of the day, i’m clueless about how Portugal performed last night, as the wiwi team generally didn’t care to say anything about it :/
My only wish for tonight is that the cheaters from Azerbaijan are sent back home. After years of bribing, cheating, manipulating jury votes, etc., it’s time that everybody realize what they truly are and boycott them. They will get enough votes with the ones they bought, don’t give them more than that! 😉

Regardless, this is a tough Semi Final, there are a lot of songs I like here than Semi1.
Wow, not only is Malta underrated in the bookmakers, but also by those who post on wiwibloggs. It is a winner song in my view. Some countries are very overrated, yet there are those which can’t catch a breath in polls and stuff! Pity …

I am not even Portuguese and I am totally uneasy with this.It is just not fair at all to discredit someone you never even gave a chance, at least say something about it … It doesn’t even have to be nice, and not just roll your eyes at someone’s effort.
Deban is amazing tho, he has the questions and seems perfectly competent to interview the artist, William is nice as well ….. The other one, after the Dutch interview I haven’t seen anything from him.
I’ll be fine if Latvia and Ireland both qualify. The rest are OK except Norway and Slovenia who are slightly more outstanding.
I think because of the Nordic heavy round, you are going to see Iceland sneak through, even if she’s a bit weak vocally. And I think Ireland is qualifying since the UK is voting during this round. I think Cyprus is a sleeper, and Montenegro should make it, but won’t. I’m portuguese and i don’t think we’ll qualify. At all. But it annoys me a bit that the wiwi team, whom i love to read, don’t even take time to discuss the entry. One of you guys (sorry, i can’t remember who it was) started to talk about the 2nd fair chance performance… and i was really interested to hear him as there’s little info out there. But he got instantly cut off as the rest of the pannel didn’t even want to talk about it for 3 seconds :/

Since this semi is so wide opened I will cheer (since I cannot vote in this one) for Ireland, Latvia, Norway, Portugal, Czech Republic and Slovenia.
I don’t want Iceland and Malta qualify and I would rather see Switzerland qualify over any of these 2.
Since we already have a true warrior already and this lace wearing nasal queen needs to go.

Why would you ask us that?
The Turkish diaspora will basically enter you in the final even if Elnur decides not to perform at all, while ORF replays the postcard for 3 minutes.
I like Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Czechoslovakia, Cypress, Slovakia, Poland, Azerbaijan, Israel and Lithuania. I must say – that I havent really liked the Portuguese entry – but I was surprised with the rehearsals – and liked it very much. Lets see what happens.

Israel has a really messy number. Such a fanwank! But of course not many up-tempo’s this year. We need it in the final so people won’t fall asleep. And Måns has still alot left to give. He was not pleased with his performance after positioning himself wrong infront of the screen at two occations. Surely it’s not easy what he’s doing.
Praying for Marta & Vaclav – I would be devastated for them if they didn’t get through.
