It’s only been two hours since semi final 2 came to an end, but the EBU and ORF have already revealed the running order for the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Slovenia’s Maraaya — that’s Raay and Marjetka Vovk — have the honour of opening the show with their song “Here for You”. It’s modern, it’s inviting — and it’ll set the tone for a night of FABULOUS.
Media darling and fan favourite Mans Zelermlow from Sweden will perform 10th, while Belgium’s Loïc Nottet has been slotted into 13th position. The final five acts to perform will be Georgia’s Nina Sublatti, Azerbaijan’s Elnur Huseynov, Russia’s Polina Gagarina, Albania’s Elhaida Dani, and Italy’s Il Volo. It’s a very Italian ending: “The Voice of Italy” winner Elhaida will perform just before Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero.

Everything is so clear to me. Albania is the winner. I was wondering if her running order will be in second half, and that happened and she is going to sing 26th which means everything was so organised to make Albania the winner from the beginning by making her to change the song till now. Albania nailed in rehearsal for Grand Final. She was sick before and her performance wasn’t good but her voice is back now. I am so happy for albanians and I hope their song wins.

A point to remember is that the vast majority of people watching and voting tonight will not have heard all the songs before and dont spend much time on musical critique. They simply vote for the catchiest track or the standout ballad that they remember by the time voting starts. Some of the songs being suggested as winners here are only being favoured by the hard core fans that have listened to them over and over again already.

Usually hate the Eurovision songs, but this year there is a handful of listenable numbers and they are as follows.
My prediction is

3. Russia
The top 5 will probably be completed by Latvia and Belgium
One other strong contender is Georgia!

I think the procedure how they determine the running order is not fair at all, they should just draw it like they did before 2013. I really want Estonia to win, so I’m shocked to see them in 4th position. But it’s still possible for them, we just need to vote! I think Italy and Russia are in winning positions. It is a long night with 27 songs so those near the end have a better chance of staying in people’s memories. If Sweden or Russia will win the ECS, then the competition is based only in visual performance. So we can say the the lights competition and not the song competition. In my opinion Georgia, Albania and Estonia deserve to win. Their songs are great.

the first half dominates the competition!! people will be bored in the second half, and may not vote for favourites such a Russia because, it’s slow song after slow song after slow song!!! i also think the UK has a very good place, I think that it could manage just to sneak on to the very low left hand side of the scoreboard, but that’s just my opinion.

Okay so I was initially disappointed by this but if you look at last year you have Ukraine performing 1st and coming 6th, Norway performing 5th and coming 8th and Armenia peforming 7th and coming 4th. Interestingly, Finland fell from coming 3rd in their semi to 11th in the final despite performing midway at 11th.
