The Eurovision Song Contest 2015 is an anniversary year, but after last night that’s not the only reason it’s special. For the first time in the Contest’s 60-year history, all three Baltic states — Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania — have qualified for Saturday night’s Grand Final. It’s also Latvia’s first time in the final since 2008 and Estonia and Lithuania’s first Grand Final since 2013.
Ahead of this Baltic Revival, we asked our readers to pick their favourite of the three back on March 19. Since then y’all have cast a total of 3,479 votes. We can reveal that Estonia’s Elina and Stig emerged as your favourite Baltic act with almost 50% of all votes cast.
Estonia’s duo, who will perform fourth during Saturday’s grand final, received 1,701 votes for their entry ‘Goodbye to Yesterday’.
Lithuania’s Vaidas and Monika, who are up 7th at the Grand Final, placed second with 895 votes and 25.73% of votes cast. Clearly y’all are loving the chemistry and that kiss.
Lastly, Latvia’s Aminata who will perform nineteenth at the Grand Final following Poland and proceeding Romania, gained 883 votes and 25.38% of the votes.
Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia will all be fighting for your votes on Saturday night!
