During the second semi-final of Eurovision 2015, Latvia and Israel broke their dry spells and finally qualified for the grand final. During the winners press conference afterwards, fans from both countries were thrilled. But it was the Israelis who let it all hang out. Naturally we were there to film it.
The first journalist to question Israel’s Nadav Guedj kindly requested that he sing “Hava Nagilah”, a traditional celebratory song used for joyous occasions such as bar mitzvahs and weddings and, apparently, Eurovision press conferences. Israeli fans and journalists chimed in, and you can see that magical moment at 1:19 below.
Qualifiers’ Press Conference: Nadav Guedj (Israel)
Are you as excited to see Israel back in the final as we are?
Ajit-That was a happy birthday equivalent!
Debbie! Same! Yalla israel!
It was really amazing…. I’m so happy for Israel… Just shame on the organizers that put Nadav on the 3rd position at the final…. Go Israel!!!!
Is this the same thing they sang to Moran Mazor just before the interval act in the Eurovision 2013 second semifinal?
You deserved it!
