It’s 14.00 CET on the day of the Eurovision 2015 grand final. We now know the running order of the final in which the acts will perform, the order in which countries will reveal their votes, and that it takes Georgia’s Nina Sublatti 30 minutes to apply her make-up. But there is one other crucial piece of information: With just hours to go before showtime, who is sitting at the top of the Eurovision odds table?

Eurovision odds: Sweden still favourite

There’s been little change at the top, with Sweden’s Måns Zelmerlöw still leading the way. Following last night’s jury final, Måns’ odds have narrowed further, with most bookmakers taking him from 6/4 to 11/8.

odds final day

With the vote running order showing Norway last to vote, will a douze points from them be the perfect icing on the cake to give Måns and Sweden victory at the end of the show?

RUSSIA and ITALY, BELGIUM and AUSTRALIA

Things are hotting up just below Sweden. Russia have re-claimed their place as second most likely to win from Italy, mainly as a result of Italy falling away. The press centre still has faith in Italy, but the bookmakers less so – perhaps as a result of the draw and the fact that Italy will present their votes fairly late on.

Belgium have fallen back slightly from their peak yesterday, when Loïc looked likely to leap in to third or second place, but he remains fourth most likely to win, holding off Australia’s Guy Sebastian who rounds out the top five. With the best odds on both being 10/1 and 12/1 for the two countries, it seems that the faith in both winning has now fallen away.

The rest of the table seems more static, particularly in the rest of the top ten with the only change being Latvia overtaking Azerbaijan.

Do you think that victory is now almost a certainty for Måns? Let us know in the comments below or on our Twitter and Facebook pages.

How is it possible, not only to attend Eurovision but also win it with a copycat single. I’m so disapponted I’m boycotting all next Eurovisions.

Well hopefully will Sweden win because it is a well written song which is very unusual for Eurovision and to be honest this song is the only one that I could really listen to, Belgium song is also quite good but Sweden competes in another level than the rest of the songs and it’s not a copied by anything else it is just that it so good that it could be played all over the world

I’m rooting for France and Albania tonight, although it’s pretty obvious neither of them are going to win.

I’m STILL convinced that Italy’s song only appeals to certain demographics and won’t get the votes of teenagers like myself. It’s too distinct. I think Sweden is commercial, upbeat and is accompanied by great staging so I’m predicting it will win. I would have picked Russia, but I can’t see much of the West voting for it and if they do, it won’t be that much.

You can’t say that we’re influenced about russia as we actually see what’s going on (not from the news). When you live in Europe you have the right to say: it’s not about politics. But we (personally I’m from Crimea) know that situation better and can say for sure: It would be a shame if this country wins. And fairly speaking even without politics Polina can’t win with this boring song. As to voice, a lot of performers have strong voice this year and along with it they have a good song.

It’s going to be a close battle between Italy, Russia and Sweden, with Belgium being the dark horse. Not sure about Australia, however. Will be fascinating to see where their biggest support comes from! ( I suspect the Anglo countries and the Nordics!). Personally, I’m cheering for Italy, Spain or France! 🙂

I have to admit that I was extremely impressed with Polina’s performance during the semifinal on Tuesday, and if there’s anyone who can challenge Sweden for the win, it’s her. I still see Belgium as a potential dark horse and Australia doing well

My opinion: the song and performer who has winner written all over it is RUSSIA. Based on her interviews, Polina is stunning inside and out. My other favorite is ISRAEL. I would also not mind ITALY, HUNGARY, NORWAY, or ALBANIA winning. Love from South Africa. 🙂

I hope Russia wins this year. The best performer in my opinion. This contest has nothing to do with politics. Unfortunately many people are influenced by mass media which delivers news in deceptive way.

To be honest – I feel like many say Sweden has the average song when they actually don’t… The song has a very clear country sound to it and that is one of the most unusual styles that songs have in esc. Italy’s song sounds like the song they bring every year. And for those saying that you should sing in your own language because it’s your culture blabla – In Sweden and Scandinavia overall they almost only sing in english. It’s their tradition. I’m from Norway and I think our song is terrible, it just tries too much. Plus… Read more »

I’m voting for Georgia. Nina is the most confident performer I’ve ever seen. Her voice is so strong and her song is really catchy. I don’t want Sweden to win, for me everything about him is average: the song, the performer, the staging… etc. Russia hmm I’ll just keep silent. Hate this song which is again about piece. Really??! Russia, really?? How dare you… PS YES I’M FROM UKRAINE

I haven’t watched much until now, but Sweden so far is the best. People saying it’s shallow I don’t get. It’s a song about a deep subject, and is well written compared to 90% of ESC songs.

I’m running for Italy, Belgium or Spain. All Eurovision veterans who haven’t won in decades and who sent very good songs to the contest (even more for Belgium, who took a risk and sent an innovative song). And let’s be honnest: who doesn’t wanna see a contest in Rome, Barcelona, Antwerp, Madrid, Brussels, Naples, Florence, Milan, etc.? 😉

@Bill I think that media have done their job. If you don’t mention a competitor, fans lose interest in it. The same has happened to Albania. I really think that the song deserve to win. I’ll vote for Albania

My personal winner is Albania. This was on top for 2 months and was favorite song for too much people. I don’t understand why fans left her a side, only just she lost her voice. The song still remain amazing. Her voice is back now and she is going to nail tonight. Listen her performance in rehearse for grand final.

Gyys! The voting order finishing with Norway would be too obvious for Sweden. For me, the position is very favorable to Latvia. LATVIA votes early, other Baltics are quite late amd Nordics as well.

I seriously don’t believe they would put Sweden’s obvious neighbours if Sweden would really win. Think about it!

@Ellie – That’s a great point about Montenegro. I was really touched by the sheer beauty of it on stage, but I also heard echoes of past Zeljko Joksimovic songs there and while every creation is given a new lease of life and artistic value, there are too many folk and instrumental similarities to past entries. Poland is a very interesting case because I know that I was moved because of Monika’s black and white screen captures before her accident and all of a sudden it became very personal and awe-inspiring, but I have to say that the song itself… Read more »

Sweden’s staging is amazing but I don’t think they have the best song – it’s positively average. So I don’t think they’ll win for that reason. My eyes are on Belgium or Italy for the win – they both have great songs and are sure to give great performances. Surprised but pleased to see Latvia up there – she gave a great performance and she’s in a great position (18th) but I think the song is too edgy and alternative for her to win (I love it though). I personally think Montenegro and Poland could surprise us. Balkan ballads are… Read more »

I forgot to mention Armenia as one of my personal winners this year. I think that not only did ‘Genealogy’ prove to sing in unison and complement each other’s voices, but the message of the song is overwhelming in its subtlety and yet strong moral conviction. This is not so much about the politics of it all, but it is of important symbolism because it addresses all the ‘deniers’ out there: regimes, historians, individuals, ethnic-cleansers and culture-cleansers. It’s about accountability and coming to terms with taking responsibility for one’s actions on a moral and historical ground. This song has a… Read more »

I’d love to see a winning country emerging in defiance of the trend setters, the bookies, the big cash and the countries pouring millions on their presentation. That will be the ultimate victory in my view. I’m rooting for Latvia, Belgium, Norway, Slovenia and France.

I’d like to see winning a country like Belgium or Italy. A country that didn’t host the Eurovision for so long or a brand new country that never did like Slovenia or Georgia. In my opinion Belgium, Latvia, Georgia or Slovenia have risked with their candidates. We should prize risk and innovation versus A more commercial product

I like the swedish song, It’s in my top 5 but I’m kinda bored with the performance, maybe because i’ve seen it a lot (since melodifestivalen). I really don’t want him to win, we’ve been in the Nordics a lot these past years and I’d like a change of scenery… Crossing my fingers for a spanish victory (Wouldn’t that be great :D) Italy has a good song too but at this stage of the competition it doesn’t affect me that much anymore (Don’t know why). I’m even cool with Polina winning (and she deserves it if she delivers the way… Read more »

I don’t think people are so easily persuaded by projectors as you think ESCaddict. I’m swedish so I’m biased and think Måns is really good and I hope for a win although I’ll be equally happy if Estonia wins. I love their song and stage performace. ESC is a competition in which you need to have the entire package, song, vocals, stage performace, artist, everything matters. As for the critique about Sweden performing too good atm in ESC, I say it is bullshit. ESC is a competition. All participating countries send the song that they think ahve the biggest chance… Read more »

He’s just a good-looking guy. That’s all. Nothing more. No nice vocal and banal song. There are a lot of Eurovision song that deserve to win better than this. Norway brought a better song.

I think whilst Måns is getting some very undeserved hate for his good song, I have to agree that I don’t want the song to win because its almost ‘too perfect’. I think what I’m trying to say is that the song lacks the authenticity songs such as Belgium (Which is NOT a copy of Lorde), Estonia and Norway have. Its too manufactured and I’d fear that future ESC songs would become like that. He IS a deserving winner but I would definitely be very disappointed.

I hope Italy wins, though performing last might hurt their chances 🙁
Sweden winning would be a huge disappointment. Copycat song, mediocre vocals and non-existent performance. Just no. Even Russia has a better performance, vocals and song. I’d take that over Sweden. But I would really love to see Italy and Spain battle it out for the top spot, with one of them winning and the other being second.

No telly in this house this evening. Final scores. Have a great night! 12 Australia / 10 Norway / 8 Cypros / 7 Italy / 6 Poland / 5 Armenia / 4 Hungary / 3 France / 2 Spain / 1 Belgium – Nothing for Sweden: too plastic and manipulative for my taste.

@ESCaddict The song matters, you just don’t get to decide what’s a good song. Obviously many people love Sweden’s song. It’s very self righteous to suggest that they don’t understand what’s “good”, and just “swayed” by projectors. Get off your high horse and vote for your fave. I’m voting for the ultimate clichè Italy, because it makes me happy.
