Eurovision star Aliona Moon, who represented Moldova in 2013 with the memorable “O mie”, is back with a new single, “Loc pentru dragoste” (Place for love). Released today, the video coincides with her 26th birthday. (Happy birthday, gurrrrl).
After being largely absent ftom the spotlight after reaching the final of The Voice of Romania, Aliona has recorded a single with HaHaHa Production, the label of her The Voice mentor, Smiley. He is also one of the songwriters.
After her successful stint on the talent show, the Moldovan singer seems to have been adopted by Romania and vice-versa. She filmed the video, which also features her fiance Vova (he’s the curly-haired guy playing the guitar), in various locations in Romania.
“Loc pentru dragoste” is a happy song about leaving a place in your heart for receiving love. Its sound is very Romanian and the fact it’s radio friendly and released under Smiley’s popular label should make it a summer hit there. We certainly hope that the very beautiful and talented Aliona Moon will eventually find the success she hoped for when she entered The Voice of Romania.
Chart success has eluded Aliona Moon thus far, despite one of the most memorable Moldovan entries in Eurovision. “O mie” finished 11th in 2013 and her stage show and gigantic projection dress made headlines across the world.
