edurne basta

The sun will never set on Spain’s Eurovision 2015 starlet Edurne. Less than a month after her shock finish on the right-hand side of the scoreboard, Edurne has released a new single called “Basta”. For all you non-Spaniards out there, that means “enough.” And ya know what? I can’t get enough!

The song opens with an easy-breezy summertime feel, albeit one with major soul. Edurne serves us Spanish-language woman-done-wrong realness as she chats to the man who keeps hurting her: “I felt your poisoned love, I lost track of your steps, finally had me excited, and everything changed.”

This guy is wretch. How you gonna do Edurne wrong?

She shares our discontent. At one-minute the song morphs into a proper drive-time hit, going upbeat and allowing Edurne to belt it out diva-style: “Ask me and give me at least one reason to forget, I ‘ve been here and I would have gone anywhere for you.” But not anymore! “Enough, I told you that time, enough. Don’t fool me with your traps, I don’t believe a word.”

We’re glad to see Edurne back in the driver’s seat. You go girl!

Basta lyrics — Edurne

Peor será si no me amas

yo me he quedado aquí
y habría ido a cualquier parte por ti

Fui feliz

yo me he quedado aquí
y habría ido a cualquier parte por ti

Legó el final
se terminó
no volverás a enamorarme otra vez
no volverá esa emoción y lo sabrás
si me vuelves a ver

Pídemelo y dame al menos una sola razón para olvidarte
yo me he quedado aquí
y habría ido a cualquier parte por ti

Pídemelo
pídemelo

Basta lyrics (English translation)–Edurne

It’s the worst if you do not love me
but I see in your look
and I feel abandoned in this room today

I felt your love poisoned
I lost track of your steps
finally had me excited
and everything changed

enough
I told you that time
enough
don’t fool me with your traps
I do not believe a word

Ask me and give me at least one reason to forget
I ‘ve been here
and I would have gone anywhere for you

I was happy
and even I gave you my best
You never got to imagine that I
and it was detoxified from you

enough
I told you that time
enough
don’t fool me with your traps
I do not believe a word

Ask me and give me at least one reason to forget
I ‘ve been here
and I would have gone anywhere for you

He bequeathed the end
It was completed
you’ll never fall in love again
It will not return the emotion and find out
if you see me again

Ask me and give me at least one reason to forget
I ‘ve been here
and I would have gone anywhere for you

I ask myself
I ask myself

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100 positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you|
