In anticipation of her new album “Toujours un ailleurs” (Always Elsewhere), which is on the way later this year, Anggun has released the lyric video for the album’s first single “A nos enfants” (To Our Children).

Before the track begins, the “Echo (You and I)” singer explains the theme:

For our children, we must always be happy. In this world of ours, with everything that is unsafe, everything that is bad, as long as nothing happens to our children, all will be well.”

Anggun elaborates on this message and tells us that all the material possessions in the world mean nothing, that as long as our children are safe, nothing else matters. Preach! Her vocal ability is on full show in “A nos enfants” – it is delicate and restrained in parts and then in the chorus the power is unleashed!

The accompanying lyric video is simple and sweet, and is all about the kids, showing Anggun laughing and dancing with them, reinforcing the song’s message. Take a look!

Anggun “A Nos Enfants” Lyric Video

It’s been over three years since Anggun’s last album, 2012’s “Echoes”, which featured her 2012 Eurovision entry for la France. As you guys know, she’s been giving expert advice alongside Mel C on Asia’s Got Talent. To say we’re excited for her new album is a huuuge understatement – we need more Anggun exotic realness in our lives!

What do you think of “A nos enfants”? You know the drill, share your opinions below!

in 2012, Indonesia surprised when Anggun had been chosen as representative of La France in Eurovision. I thought it was a brilliant choice and I bet France would win. But the choreography and stage act ruined all of her performance. Good song with a disaster stage act.
I hope that Anggun will come back and sing a ballad song like Patricia Kaas did. Then France will be on top 10 again.
Okay Wiwiiteams, Let’s warm her up! 😀

Really unbelievable that the last time that FRANCE was crowned as the European Champion in EuroVision was baaaack in 1977!! 38 years ago! Austria until last year might had stayed without victory for 48 years instead but its not the same as France is a big 5 country & had counted 5 whole victories.. Really weird that their 6th victory is taking them so long! Well maybe the french should consider sending for the first time a song that will not be in french language but in english…To just experiment & see how it goes…Of course the song must be… Read more »

France unfortunately is underrated in EuroVision..
Lisa Angel scored just only 4 points with a marvellous beautiful ballad..

Oh I like Anggun…:) Her song *Echo You & I* was criminally underrated in the Vision of 2012….I can’t believe that she scored zero 0 in televoting alone..
And the videoclip was hot with the sexy naked soldiers…It had an wonderful homoerotic tone & that was lovely..<3

I would not mind at all if Anggun decided to make a comeback & take part in our Vision again 4 a second time.. 🙂

One of France’s worst ever entries and there is a lot of competition in that area. This is slightly better than what she served up but no, she should never have been sent to Eurovision.

I love the song, the lalala’s are simply irresistable. I think an english version would do well in the UK.

Love her. France always sends great artists. Don’t understand why they come bottom. No matter. True stars don’t need to win ESC!

She’s such a great artist! Maybe one of the most disrespected great singers at Eurovision ever.
