Sure, there were other musical guests on the bill, but this week’s episode of Lotta på Liseberg belonged to #Melfest 2015 stars Samir & Viktor. The reality TV star and fashion blogger might not be the most musically gifted, but the pop duo brought plenty of their attitude and catchy tunes to the Liseberg stage.
Samir & Viktor kicked off the show with their new single “Saxofuckingfon”, an infectious ode to that super cool brass instrument. And if there’s any sign that this is very much a Swedish television show, it’s that the family-friendly audience of mums and dads and small children were happily singing along with the song’s saltier language.
Next the lads did their own version of “Sommartidar” (Summertimes), the Swedish pop classic, originally written by Per Gessle of Roxette, with the audience joining in on a big singalong.
And finally Samir & Viktor closed the show with their Melodifestivalen hit and No. 3 charting single “Groupie”, creating a great big feelgood moment.
The summer continues with performances next week from Isa and Panetoz, followed by Melfest stars Ace Wilder, Molly Pettersson Hammar, Molly Sandén and, of course, Måns Zelmerlöw.
