During our time in Vienna we recorded more than 100 videos at the Eurovision 2015 rehearsals inside Wiener Stadthalle. It’s only now that we’ve managed to wade through the footage to pull out some of the action that you guys didn’t see when watching our videos of the rehearsals.
You can watch the outtakes below. Among other things, Elhaida Dani tries to relax by shaking out her hair. Marta Jandová throws her shoes and speaks a little German. Lisa Angell oozes angel by thanking the lighting and sound crew. And the hosts — who seemed so buttoned-up and tight-lipped during the show — let loose and dance to Israel’s “Golden Boy” during the voting recap.
Along the way all the stars deal with some inevitible production glitches. “Sorry”… “Stop the clock”… “We’re having some technical problems”. It seems like every country heard those lines this year (was that scheduled for each country as well?!).

Read more »
Well, yes, that’s what rehearsals are for. They anticipate glitches.
@Robyn – I just think ORF wasn’t the best, they tried their best, but i don’t remember so much problems at rehearsals (that force the artists to stop in the middle of the song -) in Malmö, for example. it’s literally happend with every country, not all was filmed. I also can’t show the first rehearsals that had a lot of lost cameras and other issues (and that’s after stand-ins rehearsals). Anyway, orchestra will only be back by a brave country with big budget (maybe one of the big 5)…
When does the results of wiwivision come? Do you know the winner already or not?
Oh thanks 4 letting us know amigo 🙂
So with San Marino being added on the bunch, now we have 13 participating countries in the upcoming Junior Vision 🙂
Now i’m more excited myself with the Junior Vision than i am with the EuroVision of 2016 next year.. 🙂
San Marino confirmed Jesc 2015 participation at the site: Junior Eurosong 4ever!!!
@ Indeed Robyn…So right remark..
Stadthalle has always been acoustically challenging. That is Why is was Not the biggest Fan of this venue from the Start. But with exhaustive rehearsing they Made a great Job.
Ok…I think that them being 3 hosts were too much…It would had been better if they would be just 2…Miriam & Alice…Although i liked Arabella too she was not that entertaining as the others 2 ladies were…With no offense to her of course..
I have to agree that Alice is the most outstanding and entertaining host of the contest. Look at how she dances to the song Golden Boy lol
@ Well written amigo…Both of your comments were cool & very informative..
Im gonna post a full comment later…Or tomorrow if i won’t make it tonight..
What was genuinely great was how friendly Vienna was as a host city. Austria has rather high prices, although not as high as Scandinavia, London, Switzerland or Luxembourg, but they have rather low prices for very good hotels. Four stars in the magical city of Vienna are much cheaper than somewhere less magical, and the service provided is over the top. The reason for this is that Vienna is the 2nd most important city of international congresses and therefore wants to be very attractive. As in May 2015 many congresses and other non-ESC tourists did not show up due to… Read more »
Things to regret: the Austrian entry. I really love the Makemakes as a band, but their song was the most boring one of their entire career. Maybe due to the weird preselection concept of ORF, where the 6 finalists were asked to quickly write a song for the NF. Well, Johann Sebastian Bass would have been a pretty outstanding act. But even more so Conchita with her fantastic new song “You are (unstoppable)”. This song is so mich stronger than RLAP, I guess she would have easily defended her title with this. Makemakes were a complete waste as an entry,… Read more »
@ Indeed amigo..
The rehearsals mainly didn’t go well enough as planned…Mostly all of them lacked & were fail..
But once the live shows began it all changed & we saw totally different result..
That was positive..
Oh my…Really unfortunate…Thank god that they weren’t injured..
@Mario: Judging from the rehearsals one would have expected a desaster, because the rehearsals went really bad. So many glitches everywhere. When the flags were brought into the arena, a couple of guys fell up the stairs to the stage….. But the shows went flawless. I remember Copenhagen or Malmö being more glitchy, e.g. when Liese sat next to Jon Ola asking for the votes, but the votes were not ready, so she announced the Book of Records, which wasn’t ready neither, so she came up with another runthrough of the songs. And when Sweden announced their votes in 2013,… Read more »
I HATE seeing rehearsals because they totally ruin the GreAtY magic 4 me!
Of course i refused to see the rehearsals on Vienna’s Vision 4 this reason..
But i watched this video on the wiwi article here now that the 2015 EuroVision has come to its end.. 🙂
The acts artists have numerous problems issues to solve & fix so the rehearsals are very demandful requiring lot of trial & effort 4 the best outcome possible..
hehe Oostenrijk buddy 😉
The 3 ladies hosts were not that bad as many eurofans claim them to be…They were might not that great or didn’t really stand out but they were ok i guess.. 🙂
I loved the hosts, especially Alice ….. sexy, multilingual class…. Mirjam seemed a bit tense although her script was funny, especially when she praised the good looking men in the arena who wouldn’t give their number to her…..
