Knez — Montenegro’s Eurovision 2015 singer — did not say “Adio” after Eurovision this year! On Saturday, at the Eurovision Live Concert in Setúbal, Portugal, our favorite Montenegrin act was gracious enough to speak with our correspondent Deban about Eurovision drama, his new music and even Montenegro’s recent jury voting scandal. He also says that his daughter may sing for the country at Eurovision in 2016 or 2017! You can watch the interview below and fall in love with Knez all over again!

Calling yourself a national hero after a good Eurovision placing seems arrogant IMO. Being your nation’s first winner is one thing but coming 13th (even if it is Montenegro’s best placing)? Cocky Knez
good job on the placing, but a bulk of the credit goes to zeljko.
I like the performance, but calm down Knez You have LUCK of being this year in Eurovision, all the points went to 5-6 countries… And it was easy for the rest (if you have some country-friends) came to hight positions. For example, Azerbaijan was 10th in the semifinal !!!!!!! and 12th in the Grand final… Just because all the points were focus in 5-6 countries 1º Sweden -> 365 2º Russia -> 303 3º Italy -> 292 4º Belgium -> 217 5º Australia -> 196 6º Latvia -> 186 7º Estonia -> 106 8º Norway -> 102 9º Israel ->… Read more »
It was a great song and a strong performance. Montenegro seem to have a strong identity in Eurovision and should be proud of what they represent. Other countries are too quick to sell out. It is sad that Montenegro has produced two great songs over the past two years whereas Serbia sang a horrible dance song in English.
@ Oh Oostenrijk.. 🙂 hehe..
Well the song of Montenegro might was indeed GreAtY…But it was too sad & melancholic..
The only GreAtY thing about Montenegro’s participation this year was just the beautiful song..
Although Knez has good voice to admit…But he seemed too old & out of body shape to go & compete to EuroVision..
It would be much better if a young hottie babe would perform the same song in Vienna..
Wow! Montenegro was GreAtY in our Vision of Love in 2015 in Vienna
Montenegro was really GreAtY
I hate when people say that third place is great because this is podium and bronze medal, while 4th place is worst place ever. For me 1st place is the best, then are 2nd and 3rd but with a small advantage over 4th and 5th place. I accept some superiority of 2nd and 3rd place over 4th and 5th place, but much bigger and more important is advantage of 1st place over 2nd and 3rd.
Here are points for places in ESC:
1. 50
2. 40
3. 34
4. 28
5. 24
6. 20
7. 18
8. 16
9. 14
10. 12
11. 10
12. 9
13. 8
14. 7
15. 6
16. 5
17. 4
18. 3
19. 2
20. 1
Only top 20 scores points. The rest deserves 0 points, because every place below 20 is 3d (defeat, disaster and discredit).
Poland 38,5 million people and 30 points in ESC since 2000
Montenegro 0,6 million people and 10 points in ESC since 2000
So I think 13th place is very solid result for this country. Much worse result is 23th place, which was occupied by Poland, which is much bigger country than Montenegro. Earlier I explained that it was not fair result, but this country really should be much stronger. Poland finished only 4 times in top 20 since 2000. This is so great disgrace.
Recently watched his Eurovision performance again. I think if he entered in any other year where the competition wasn’t so strong, he would’ve easily been in the top 10. But this year, there was just too many good songs. Hope his daughter can end up finishing as well as him!
Classification of places according to their values:
1. 1st place
2. 2nd and 3rd place
3. 4th and 5th place
4. 6th – 10th place
5. 11th – 20th place
6. rest
he deserved better place than 13th
