Dima Bilan might want to upgrade his security system.

On September 17, intruders broke into Bilan’s country cottage in the village of Rasskazovka. As Russia’s 1TV.ru reports, they managed to snatch a gold watch, a safe filled with 9 million rubles (around 118,000 euros), and hard drives of the singer’s performances. Sheesh. They could have just relived his Eurovision 2006 and 2008 performances on YouTube…

Most interesting, however, is that they managed to get into the house at all. Dima — the winner of Eurovision 2008 — has a security system that would impress the KGB. It includes CCTV, multiple gates, and several security staff both inside and outside the property. 1tv reports that the bandits likely studied the property for some time, learning the precise comings and goings of security staff.

It quotes one of Dima’s neighbours — a woman named Lyudmila — on potential cracks in his security plan. A week ago she saw “three men and two women” planting trees. Hmmm. (It’s almost as worrying as a woman popping out of a white piano…). CCTV footage captured the escape, which involved a tree falling just over a fence and its barbed wire crown. Convenient, no?

Dima was not home at the time of the burglery, but is reportedly shaken by the events. Is some crazy Ani Lorak fan seeking to avenge her loss to Dima in Belgrade? Did the bandits manage to steal some of his Oriflame Excite? We’ll have to wait for more news to come out of police headquarters…

@Mitchellvaneijk – If you knew anything about pop culture, you would know that what I wrote in “_____” was based on a famous viral YOUTUBE rant:

Why is everybody defending Mario??? If you ask him nicely if he want to stop with a annoying word than he just ignore it. Only thinking about himself.

And Erin I would love to deal with you #brainwashed

I am SO grateful that this GreAtY person writes here.. He’s basically a journalist. If it were up to me, Mario would have his own website. You just can’t even.. Put into words how much skill and love this person has to give. So multi talented…

“Leave MARIO alone!!! You’re lucky he even writes for you bastards!! pleaseee!!! Leave Mario’s spirit alone right now!! I mean it!! Anyone who has a problem with him you deal with me!!”

Now that we got that off the table, you need to chill off…even William cracked some jokes on this story just like the cracks in Dima’s security plan, so what are you all uptight about?? it’s not like he’s the first celebrity who ever got robbed and besides, just like Dima used to expose himself, now he fully gets what it means to be left naked…

Let’s just make this all about Mario again… This article is not about YOU or GREECE (The most overrated country in the history of ESC) but about Dima Bilan and his terrible experience with this… How about feeling sorry for someone other than yourself for a change?

I hope the thieves are caught and Dima recovers soon, shock can be horrendous and if you can’t be safe in your own home, then where can you? Bring justice!

@Mario can you please not talk if you don’t know a clue??? they stole from Dima not only money but stuff of sentimental value and pre recorded songs personal photos and videos… you don’t have to be desperate to steal this. You just want to hit him mentally … and btw they stole from him stuff total value of 9m rubles (rubles , euros, dollars, watches, paintings…) but the things that hurt are the stolen who don’t cost anything..his personal things…

Really sad to hear this. How rude or desperate should you be if you steal someone’s stuff? I hope the police will catch the thieves and make them pay, or bring back all the stuff.
