Slovenia began their journey to Sofia by launching Mini EMA, the junior version of RTVSLO’s EMA national final, as part of Sunday afternoon TV show Vikend paket in Ljubljana. Unlike their adult Eurovision counterpart, today’s the first of two semi-finals, with the final taking place in two weeks time on 4th October.

Alenka Vozlich (Leni) – “Najlepši dan”

Today’s jury panel who decided who will advance to the final are music producer Patrik Greblo and singers Nuška Drašchek and Nina Pušlar, with Nina a guest on today’s show performing her new single. After all three participants performed, they eventually selected Alenka Vozlich, best known as Leni, as the winner of the first semi-final. The second semi-final also takes place next Sunday during Vikend paket.
Did the juries make the right decision? You can watch the show again here.

@Gariboldus We have another semi final, do some research before you comment.
where are the other songs?3 songs was all they had?slovenia is back on their old fame having rubbish songs
The Scarpari twins won the Italian selection once again
I was rooting for Sonce v ogedalu 🙁
The jury definitely made the right decision. None of them were particularly great, but Leni was much better than the other two. It reminds me of one of the songs from around 2003-2005, in particular Ksenia Sitnik’s, I don’t know why. Super excited for Maraaya’s act to perform next week.
