Eurovision burglars strike again!

Just one week after burglars broke into Dima Bilan’s country cottage in Russia, burglers in France have sprung into the Paris flat of Eurovision 2012 singer Anggun Cipta.

As Le Parisien reports, the French-Indonesian singer wasn’t at home last week when the burglars broke into her apartment and stole jewels and trinkets valued at more than 250,000 euros. The singer reportedly filed a complaint to the police.

Fortunately Anggun has plenty of other things on her mind to distract her from the trauma.

Anggun recently unveiled “Nos Vies Parallèles”, the second single from her upcoming album (out November 20). The lively, feel-good song reunites her with French superstar Florent Pagny nearly twenty years after they first met. In fact, Pagny is the man responsible for Anggun’s success in France: he introduced her to Erick Benzi, the man behind “La Neige au Sahara”, which propelled her to international stardom.

Anggun has described “Toujours un Ailleurs” this way:

I’m an uprooted, in the sense that I came from elsewhere, Indonesia, to plant my roots somewhere else, France. Music has always been my passport to go from one country to another. I would like this album to be a refuge to those who will listen to it.

Are you angry about the burglary? What do you think of Anggun’s new single? Are you impatient for her album to be released? Let us know in the comments section below!

Humble to know Anggun never forget and has this feeling of gratefulness towards someone and it was almost 20 years ago.
The song itself is uplifting, the poetical lyrics is beautiful. I am her fans and I know most of her songs always have a beautiful story or thoughtful inspirations along with it.
Can’t wait for the French-album this November and rumour has it the International version will be released mid 2016 with lots of new material.

a mid-tempo pop-folk single which shares the pair’s destiny in sharing the same passions for travelling, exploring new places and becoming one with nature.
It loses its meaning without reading the lyrics first and doesn’t transcend the language barrier with a particularly gripping composition.
I blame the gymnasts in Anguun’s 2012 ESC performance for breaking the entry…
