Melodifestivalen might be four months away, but the rumours continue. After revealing that Melfest 2016 will be hosted by Gina Dirawi, Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet is reporting that previous Melfest stars Ace Wilder and Oscar Zia will be back in 2016, while Swedish Idol winner Lisa Ajax will make her debut.
Ace Wilder
Ace Wilder caused a fuss at #Melfest2014 with her song “Busy Doin’ Nothin'”. She won the jury vote and eventually Sanna Nielsen secured her Melfest victory by only two points. Ace has since released the singles “Riot” and “Stupid”. In late August we spied her busy doing something in the studio, working with the songwriting and production team behind “Busy Doin’ Nothin'” and “Heroes”.
Oscar Zia
After getting his start on the X Factor, Oscar Zia made his Melodifestivalen debut in 2013 as a backing vocalist on Behrang Miri’s song “Jalla Dansa Sawa”, which didn’t make it past the second-chance round. In 2014 he entered as a solo artist with “Yes We Can” which placed eighth in the final.
Lisa Ajax
17-year-old Lisa Ajax is no stranger to the Globe Arena. Last year in that location she was crowned the winner of the 10th series of Idol. She recently released her new single, the defiant dance track “Blue Eyed Girl”. Aftonbladet quotes a source saying that competing in Melodifestivalen has always been one of Lisa’s dreams.
What do you think of Ace, Oscar and Lisa competing in Melodifestivalen? Can any of them take the victory? Who else would you like to see in #Melfest2016? Share your thoughts below!

Goosebumps!!
Zara Larsson hates Melodifestivalen and will not compete.
Lisa Ajax is a young Beyonce, search on youtube when she’s performing Halo in Idol 2014!
Molly Pettersson Hammar is also a wonderful singer, she’ll be dangerous if she’s competing next year
I’m swedish and we want to win Eurovision in 2016 🙂
My bets for MF this winter are on Ace Wilder and Zara Larsson, unless someone more interesting comes along.
Oh I remember Oscar Zia. He was seen accompanying Mans Zelmerlow after seeing Mans winning the trophy for the best male artist of Rockbjornen 2015 at Kungstradgarden in Stockholm.
Kristin Amparo wont be back since she was part of the jury deciding 14 of the 28 songs of next years Melodifestivalen.
Kinda want Kristin Amparo back too. But good to see Ace back!
yessssssssss ace!!! 😀
ace wilder!! i’m still listening to “busy doing nothing” and already forget about “undo”.
Agreed….we need musical acts not props/gimmicks.
Goo Ace!
… and it starts with boredom already … let’s hope for better musical acts …
Good luck Ace Wilder !!!
