This afternoon the Wiwi Jury — our in-house panel of music unprofessionals — travelled to Tbilisi to munch on some khinkali in the middle of Rike Park. While we were there we decided to review The Virus‘ Junior Eurovision 2015 track ‘Gabede’ (Dare). Did we dare to love Georgia‘s song, or was it time to tell them the truth? Read on to find out…
GEORGIA’S JUNIOR EUROVISION 2015 SONG
‘GABEDE’ REVIEWS – THE VIRUS
Robyn: Georgia is getting the party started. “Gabede” is a fun, energetic song, combining a traditional rock ‘n’ roll number with modern electro-pop production. The lead singer of The Virus is a proper rock star — he has the swagger! This should be so much fun to see live.
Score: 9/10
William: Powerful harmonies, an easy-to-remember chorus, neon-coloured outfits — what could possibly go wrong? Georgia embraces crazy with alpomb and the kids serve major musicality with a healthy side of wackiness. The chorus may be repetitive to some, but it’s a clever device to court votes on replay. These kids love what they’re doing, which makes it difficult not to love them.
Score: 9/10
Rezo: The song is modern and catchy. Yes, I’m Georgian, but trust me: Georgia will own the stage at Junior Eurovision on November 21. Georgia just knows how to rule JESC and The Virus will explode. Get ready!
Score: 10/10
Mario: ‘Gabede’ is all about having fun, but it does have a message: live your life to the fullest. This is a very kid-friendly song that immediately gets stucks in your head — and stays for a while. Best of all it never gets repetitive. Point of story: never call the police if you see kids playing music in their bathrobes in the middle of the night – they may be recording another Junior Eurovision hit!
Score: 8/10
Angus: Rocky, gaudy and hypnotic, the Virus is going to infect all of Europe with “Gabede”. It has that feel-good vibe that Betty from Armenia tapped into last year: super kid friendly, super fun and super threatening for anyone who thought they had winning in the bag. The styling is…kind of out there…but they can sing well so it doesn’t really matter.
Score: 9/10
Bernardo: With the perfect staging, this alternative tune could bring Armeec Arena to the ground. The kids are on fire and breaking all the rules as they work some pretty eccentric outfits. It’s definitely not my favorite – it doesn’t fit my musical taste — but it definitely has what it takes to sway young kids.
Score: 6/10
Deban: Aptly named “The Virus”, this is a scream-fest tied into a melody. With hues of nursery rhyme and stadium-rock, this is misdemeanor at its most melodic. You’ll either love it or hate it.
Score: 5/10

This really answered my problem, many thanks!
I like this song. Georgia is best!!!
FWIW, I can’t stand JESC, but something made me click on this anyway … and I LOVED it. I’m not sure what that means, but there you go.
The song didn’t hit me at first but it did it’s job – I DARED to give it a 2nd listen. lol Hope the kids in November listened to it twice.
This one is my jam tbh. 9,5/10 from me 😀
Oops, my name was wrong xD Well I promise this is my last comment to this article hahaha
Okay, I’m only weird… 😛
First I didn’t like this song but it’s sooo catchy and the group is so weird on a nice way like me
2/10 my last place. I need to look like Liza omg, she’s so purrty.
This is the most underrated song of the year so it’s very nice to see wiwi recognizing its value.
I think many people judge them because of their outfits and it’s really unfair, because the song is everything I’m expecting from kids… and it’s a very nice song! Good job Georgia
This sounds like fun!!
7.5/10
I don’t get the hate for this. I LOVE this, i sing it randomly along with ‘Dumba Je’. It’s fun and so wacky but it’s polished at the same time. If they pull this off live, this is a massive contender for victory.
9.5/10
The song is so wacky, so random and soooo me. 10/10.
