Ireland will make their debut at Junior Eurovision in just over a week’s time in Sofia, Bulgaria and before setting off Aimee Banks stopped by The Late Late Show to perform her entry “Réalta Na Mara“.
Performing in a twinkly circle of lights “Réalta Na Mara” got a real mystical lift, ramping up the intensity and going straight for engaging contrast lighting rather than the brighter colours from the national selection.
The stripped back staging also enables the song itself to shine and puts Aimee’s vocal front and centre.
Whether or not this will reflect Ireland’s staging when we get to Sofia is another thing altogether.

I hated this song when it was in the selection contest, I was concerned for ireland; a tarnished result on the first appearance would be quite demeaning. Thanks to this performance, I have been reassured. Watching it was magical; it was enthralling! The vocals were outstanding and the overall look was so simple but immensely effective! Best of luck Ireland in your first JESC, I know you will do all the irish proud! 🙂

Sorry, but this song bores me. It doesn’t go anywhere, once you’ve heard the first minute you’ve heard the whole song.
Wow, okay, I like this song it’s in my top 10 but it’s not my favourite however, this just gave me chills and made me tear up, If they stage the performance similar to this I think is gonna stand out among all other contestants, Ireland could be a dark horse and take the price home.
