OGAE Belarus has revealed two important dates for the Belarus national selection for Eurovision 2016. The jury auditions are due to take place on 26 November, while the preliminary date for the grand final is 15 January.
The open submission period is due to close on 21 November – this Saturday. So as soon as Ruslan is finished at JESC, the Belarus ESC team will swing into action. The jury will audition the acts on 26 November – next Thursday – and choose up to 15 songs to progress to the grand final in January. OGAE Belarus emphasise that at this stage the grand final date of 15 January is only a preliminary date.

Broadcaster BTRC has previously said that this year preference will be given to songs with an emphasis on lyrics that feature the Belarusian language. Another change for 2016 will see the grand final winner decided by 100% televote and no jury input.
