This year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest is simply too close to call. The quality of songs is, in our opinion, stronger than some of the recent editions of the adult Eurovision. But, as always, we’ve attempted to look into a crystal ball and provide some kind of forecast for who will win JESC 2015. After combining the results of our JESC 2015 fan poll and the results of the Wiwi Jury, we are pleased to announce that Malta’s Destiny Chukunyere has emerged as our winner.

This comes with several caveats. First of all, all of the songs were reviewed by the Wiwi Jury using official music videos. Our fan poll was also open long before anyone saw the acts live. Therefore these rankings and assessments do not account for rehearsals (which you can watch here), staging, or live vocals. Russia, for instance, blew many of us away the moment we heard it live. Had we reviewed these songs after rehearsals these results may have been significantly different. In any event, here is how things panned out.

Combined Fan Poll-Wiwi Jury vote

The act that placed first in each category received 17 points. The act that placed second received 16 points and so on. Ties were broken using the results of our international jury.

My full top 17 1. Armenia (A danceable song) 2. Russia (Unique song, in a positive way) 3. Georgia (As many of those who like it would say: it looks like they are having fun and when they are having fun, I think it’s fun) 4. Slovenia (It is a good song in the same style as “Let it go” and “Verjamem”, I like it) 5. Serbia (Go Mini-Bojana, this song is awesome) 6. Malta (I like it, because I’ve never heard a similar song in JESC, but I still hear similarities with “Forget you” by Cee lo Green) 7.… Read more »

2. Armenia
3. Georgia
4. Malta (thanks to juries)

My TOP 5 before rehearsals was

But after rehearsals I change my TOP 5

San Marino is definitely underrated, as well as Russia. And I think it’s pretty obvious that nobody outside of Georgia would give so much to Georgia..

Any of the first four wins and I’ll be happy. I also like San Marino, Russia and Ireland. Georgia is really bad. Only made it up there because of Georgian fanatics…. from Georgia.
