When Destiny Chukunyere sings the world listens. Such was the case on Saturday evening when the 13-year-old won Junior Eurovision 2015 with the highest score ever. Destiny has emerged as Malta’s hottest export of the year and is well on her way to becoming the new diva of the Mediterranean. Yet her feet are firmly on the ground, as we saw at the JESC 2015 afterparty in the Hilton Sofia. Surrounded by her new friends (including Lizi Pop, Vincenzo Cantiello, Data from The Virus and Anna Trincher), she smiled from ear to ear and was all sugar and spice. “Thank you for making this possible,” she says to her fans on wiwibloggs. “Love you!” Right back at ya, gurrrl!
First and foremost let me put out there … I can’t stand the idea of a juvenile Eurovision version … I don’t like young kids competing against each other no matter how positive they try to build on the competition. Plus … the music does not say a thing too me … I’m a grown-up person I can’t relate to teenish music.
