With the official announcement of the acts for Melodifestivalen 2016 less than a week away, along comes another rumoured artist. This time it’s rapper Albin teaming up with Danny Saucedo’s EMD bandmate Mattias Andréasson.

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet is reporting that the two are collaborating on an entry for Melfest. Both artists have previous Melfest experience.

Albin Johnsén featured as a songwriter in Melfest 2015, co-writing (along with Måns Zelmerlöw) the Behrang Miri feat. Victor Crone song “Det rår vi inte för” (We can’t help it), which made it to the Andra Chansen round.

Mattias Andréasson has competed in Melodifestivalen twice before. In 2009, as part of the boy band EMD, he entered with “Baby Goodbye” which placed third. He entered again as a solo artist in 2012 with “Förlåt mig” (Forgive me), which did not qualify for the final.

The pair have collaborated before, most recently on the ballad “Du lever inom mig” (You live in me), which – curiously enough – clocks in at just under three minutes.

Albin feat. Mattias Andréasson brings the rumoured Melfest total to 17, joining Smajling Swedes, Ace Wilder, Oscar Zia, Lisa Ajax, Samir & Viktor, Dinah Nah, Panetoz, Sigrid Bernson, Pidde Pannkaka, Linda Bengtzing, Molly Sandén, Eclipse, Pernilla Andersson, Isa, Frans Jeppsson-Wall and Molly Pettersson Hammar.
