DAY 1: National Selections 2016
December also marks the start of national selection season: Albania will decide its representative on December 27 and some countries, including Switzerland and Belarus, are holding some of the earlier stages of their selections during the month. The road to Stockholm starts now.
But which selection are you most excited for? Is it Sweden’s Melodifestivalen — or perhaps Lithuania’s complicated “Eurovizijos” dainu konkurso nacionaline atranka? Let us know below!
Note: not all countries have announced details of their national selections yet, so we have only added those that have been confirmed.
I’m from belgium and i think when we choose Laura Tesoro in our national selection we go to the grand final again!
I realy love the national selections from
Moldova, Sweden,Lithuania, Albania, Estonia, latvia, Switserland,Romania and of course Denmark! I hope Denmark will choose a better song than in 2015 but i loved the way you are.

Mines are:
1.Melodifestivalen
2. Whatever that British Eurosong is called.
2. DMGP (because if Sweden hosts, Denmark wins regardless of song)
3. Belarus (yeah, I said it)
4. A Dal
5. Sanremo
6. Irish Eurosong (hopefully like their JESC selection)
7. NMGP
8. Songkepp
9. Supernova
10. Eesti Laul
The rest can sit on coals and burn but I’ll watch them anyway.
Last year, I thought the Norsk Melodi Grand Prix was the most interesting national qualifier out there. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sanremo Festival (ITA) provides the greater suspense this time.
Melfest need and much much more bigger stage it always looks small and cheap. Eesti laul so proud it’s going to the countries main arena. All of them are very important. It’s sad that some countries just can’t put the money in to make there national selection bigger. Sweden’s song will be overrated of course unless that band that won the radio thing win the whole of melfest

Supernova and Eesti Laul are fun to watch though, Festival i Kenges is a terrific start to the selection season as well

I am from Sweden so ofc melodifestivalen, but I seriously love melodifestivalen. However, I have heard all swiss candidates(except “Flashback”) and I have 2 favourites, I really want one of these to perform in Globen, so I am also actually excited for Die Entsheidungsshow, but most Melodifestivalen.
